Before you begin

To add a working schedule in Plumm, you must be an administrator with access to the Settings section. You will need to define the schedule type, working hours, and description.

Step 1: Add a working schedule

Follow these steps to add a new working schedule:
  1. Navigate to Admin > Settings and select the Working Schedule tab.
  2. Click the Add Schedule button to open the Add Working Schedule form.
  3. In the Add Working Schedule form, enter the following details:
    • Name: Enter a name for the schedule (e.g., "Weekly Shift", "Bi-Weekly Shift").
    • Description: Provide a brief description of the schedule. You can use the Generate button to auto-generate a description based on the schedule name or enter your custom text.
    • Schedule Type: Select the type of schedule. There are two available options:
      • Weekly: The working hours will be set for each day of the week (e.g., Monday to Sunday).
      • Bi-Weekly: The schedule will be divided into two weeks, allowing flexibility in setting different hours for each week.
    • First Day of Week: Choose the first day of the week (e.g., Monday).

Step 2: Configure Working Hours

Once you’ve added the name and description, you can now configure the daily working hours for each schedule type.

Weekly Schedule:
For a Weekly schedule, the working hours are the same every week. You need to configure the daily hours for each day of the week, and the Weekly Total will be calculated automatically.

  • Daily Working Hours: Set the working hours for each day of the week. For example:
    • Monday: 8 hours
    • Tuesday: 8 hours
    • Wednesday: 8 hours
    • Thursday: 8 hours
    • Friday: 8 hours
    • Saturday: 0 hours (Day off)
    • Sunday: 0 hours (Day off)
The Weekly Total will automatically adjust based on the working hours entered.

Bi-Weekly Schedule:
For a Bi-Weekly schedule, you need to configure the working hours for two weeks (Week 1 and Week 2). Each week can have different hours, allowing more flexibility.

  • Week 1 (e.g., first week of the schedule):
    • Monday: 8 hours
    • Tuesday: 8 hours
    • Wednesday: 8 hours
    • Thursday: 8 hours
    • Friday: 8 hours
    • Saturday: 0 hours
    • Sunday: 0 hours
  • Week 2 (e.g., second week of the schedule):
    • Monday: 8 hours
    • Tuesday: 8 hours
    • Wednesday: 8 hours
    • Thursday: 8 hours
    • Friday: 8 hours
    • Saturday: 0 hours
    • Sunday: 0 hours
The Weekly Total will adjust automatically based on the total number of hours entered for both weeks.

Additional Configuration

  • Average Weekly Total: The average weekly total hours will be calculated automatically once you enter the daily working hours for the selected week(s).
  • Start Date: Set the start date for the working schedule. This will determine when the schedule becomes active.
Once you’ve entered the working hours for the Weekly or Bi-Weekly schedule, click Save to finalize the schedule.
