Before you begin
- You must be logged in with admin permissions to add or manage tasks.
- Ensure you have all the necessary task details, such as project assignments, user details, and task duration.
Step 1. Navigate to the "Task" Tab
- Log in to your Plumm account.
- Go to the Project Management page from the dashboard.
- Click on the "Task" tab to access the task management area.
- On the page, click the "Add Task" button to begin adding a new task.
Step 2. Add a New Task
Once the Add Task option is selected, a form will appear with the following fields:
- Task Name:
- Enter a descriptive name for the task (e.g., "Design Homepage").
- Description:
- Provide a brief description of the task (e.g., "Create wireframes and design homepage layout").
- Task Start Date:
- Select the start date for the task to begin.
- Task End Date:
- Select the end date for when the task should be completed.
- Project:
- Choose the project to which this task belongs (e.g., "Website Redesign").
- Duplicate the Tasks to Other Projects:
- If you want to create the same task in multiple projects, select the other projects from the list. This will duplicate the task across them.
- Assignee:
- Select the user(s) responsible for the task from the list of available users.
- Billable:
- Toggle ON: If the task is billable, toggle the Billable button to ON.
- Toggle OFF: If the task is non-billable, toggle the Billable button to OFF.
Once you have filled in the necessary details, click Submit to create the task.
Step 3. Task Grid Actions
After creating a task, it will appear in the Task Grid. In the grid, you can perform the following actions on each task:
- Edit:
- Click on Edit to modify the task’s details, such as name, dates, and assignee.
- Delete:
- Click on Delete to permanently remove the task from the system. (Note: Deleting a task is permanent and cannot be undone.)
- View:
- Click on View to see the full details of the task, including associated project and assignee information.

1.Can I assign a task to multiple users?
Yes, you can select multiple users under the Assignee field to assign the task to more than one user.
2. What does the "Billable" toggle do?
The Billable toggle marks the task as either billable or non-billable. If ON, the task will be counted as billable; if OFF, it will be marked as non-billable.
3.Can I create the same task for multiple projects?
Yes, you can duplicate the task across multiple projects by selecting additional projects in the Duplicate the Tasks to Other Projects field.
4.How do I delete a task?
You can delete a task from the Task Grid by selecting Delete next to the task. Once deleted, the task cannot be recovered.
5.Can I edit a task after it’s been created?
Yes, you can edit any task by clicking the Edit button in the Task Grid to modify its details.This functionality helps admins manage and track tasks within projects, making it easier to assign work, track progress, and handle billing based on task status.
