Creating and Managing Reports in Plumm

Plumm allows users to create and manage reports based on permissions. There are two types of reports: My Reports (personal use) and Company Reports (accessible by users with appropriate permissions). You can create Scratch Reports or use Template Reports for both.

Before you begin

  • Only users with the necessary permissions can access and manage reports.
  • You need to have access to either My Reports or Company Reports, depending on your role and permissions.

Step 1: Accessing the Reports Section

  1. Navigate to the Admin section on the Plumm platform.
  2. From the Admin menu, click on Reports.
  3. You will see two categories of reports: My Reports (personal) and Company Reports (for the entire company, visible to users with the appropriate permissions).


Step 2: Creating a Report

  1. To create a report, select either My Report or Company Report depending on where you want to store the report.
  2. Click the Create Report button.
  3. You will be presented with two options:
    • Scratch Report: Create a new report from scratch.
    • Template Report: Select a pre-built template to create a report.
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to define the content of the report and save it.
  5. For Company Reports, any report created will be visible to users within the company who have the necessary permissions.

Step 3: Viewing and Managing Reports

  1. To view a report, go to the Reports section in Admin.
  2. Select either My Reports or Company Reports.
  3. Click on the report you wish to view or manage.
  4. You can edit or delete reports as needed, depending on your permissions.

1. Can I access both My Reports and Company Reports?

It depends on your permissions. Users with broader access may have permission to view and create reports in both sections.
 

2 .  What is the difference between Scratch Reports and Template Reports?

  • Scratch Reports are custom-created reports starting from a blank template.
  • Template Reports allow you to select a pre-built structure to generate reports.

3.  Can I share my reports with others?

Yes, reports created under Company Reports are visible to other users who have appropriate permissions.
 

 

4.  How do I know if I have permission to access Company Reports?

 If you cannot see Company Reports in the Admin section, reach out to your system administrator to request the necessary permissions.
