 Editing candidate details in the Candidate Pool allows users to update candidate information. This action is only available to users with the appropriate permissions in the Hire module.

Before you begin

To edit candidate details, you must have the appropriate permissions. These permissions provide access to the Hire module and allow you to make changes to candidate profiles. If you do not have access to edit candidate details, please contact your system administrator.
 

Step 1. Access the candidate’s profile

  1. Go to Hire > Candidate Pool
  2. Locate the candidate you wish to edit by scrolling or searching using the Search bar
  3. Click on the candidate's row to open their profile
  4. If the candidate has applied for multiple jobs, select the job you want to view and edit

Step 2. Edit candidate information

  1. Once in the candidate profile, click the three dots (⋮) in the right-hand corner of their row
  2. Select Edit from the dropdown menu
  3. Update the following fields as necessary:
    • Personal details (name, contact information, etc.)
    • Job details (position, hiring stage, etc.)
    • Notes or tags related to the candidate
    • Attachments or other relevant documents
  4. Review all changes before proceeding to save.

Step 3. Save changes

  1. After updating the necessary fields, click Save to apply your changes
  2. The candidate’s updated details will be reflected immediately in the system
  3. You can revisit the profile anytime to further edit if needed

1.Can I edit a candidate who has been hired?

 Yes, you can still edit their details if needed, but the options available may be limited based on your organisation's policies.
 

2 . What happens if I make a mistake when editing?

 You can always revisit the candidate’s profile and make further adjustments. However, once the changes are saved, there is no undo button, so double-check the edits.

3. Do edits reflect immediately for all users?

 Yes, once saved, your changes will be visible to all users with the appropriate permissions in the system.
 

 

4. Can I edit a candidate’s hiring stage or application status?

Yes, you can update the candidate's hiring stage, status, or any job-specific information during the edit process.
 

5. Can I add a candidate’s attachments while editing?

Yes, you can attach documents (such as resumes or interview notes) when editing a candidate’s profile.
 

 

6. Why can’t I see the ‘Edit’ button?

 If the Edit option is missing, it may be due to insufficient permissions. Ensure you have the correct role in the Hire module (Recruiter, Hiring Manager, Admin). Contact your system administrator if you're unsure.
