Edit ( Leavers)

Summary

For managers, the ability to edit or view user profiles in the Leavers section, by clicking on the profile picture or user name, depends on whether the user is a direct or indirect reportee. If the manager has permission to view indirect reportees, they can edit and check both direct and indirect reportee profiles in the Leavers section. If the manager does not have permission to view indirect reportees, they can only access and manage the profiles of direct reportees.

Before you begin

  • My People permissions control which Leavers profiles managers can view and edit.
  • If a manager has permission to view indirect reportees, they can access and edit both direct and indirect reportee profiles in the Leavers section.
  • If the manager does not have permission to view indirect reportees, only direct reportees will be visible and editable.

Step 1: Editing Leavers Profiles for Direct and Indirect Reportees (Based on Permissions)

  1. With Permission to View Indirect Reportees:
    • If the manager has permission to view indirect reportees, they can click on the profile picture or name of users in the Leavers section to view and edit the profiles of both direct and indirect reportees.
    • This allows the manager to update information or review details for both sets of reportees who have left the organization.
  2. Without Permission to View Indirect Reportees:
    • If the manager does not have permission to view indirect reportees, they can only access and edit the profiles of direct reportees who have left the organization.
    • Indirect reportees' profiles will not be visible or editable, and clicking on their profile picture or name will not provide access to their data.

Step 2: What Happens Without Permission for Indirect Reportees

  1. Limited Access to Direct Reportees:
    • Without the indirect reportees permission, the manager will only be able to edit and check the profiles of users who reported directly to them.
    • The Leavers section will only show the manager's direct reports who have left, while the profiles of indirect reports will be hidden and inaccessible.
