Enable Completion Acknowledgement for Courses
Summary
You can add a Completion Acknowledgement step to any custom course to ensure both the learner and trainer provide digital sign-offs. This activates certificate eligibility and sends automated confirmation emails to both parties.

Before you begin
You must have the Manage Course permission enabled. This feature is available only for custom-built courses.Step 1. Access course settings
- Go to Manage Course under the Learning section
- Open an existing course or create a new one
- From the left panel, click on Completion Acknowledgement
Step 2. Configure completion acknowledgement
- Toggle Enable Acknowledgement to ON
- Add a Title and Description to explain the sign-off purpose
- Set sign-off requirements:
- Enable Learner’s Sign-off is mandatory
- Enable Trainer’s Sign-off is mandatory
- Under Signatures on Certificate, choose:
- Include Learner’s Signature
- Include Trainer’s Signature
- Click Save
Once enabled:
- Learner must complete and sign the course
- An email is sent to the trainer requesting their sign-off
- Once the trainer signs, the learner receives a confirmation email with a CTA to download their certificate

1. Can I skip the acknowledgement step?
Yes. You can choose not to enable this feature, in which case the course will be marked complete automatically after the last module2. Is it required for all courses?
3. What happens if only the learner signs off?
An email is sent to the trainer to complete their sign-off. The course will not be considered complete until both signatures are collected.
4. When is the certificate issued?
Once the trainer signs off, the learner receives an email with a link to download their certificate.
Yes. You can update the title, description, and requirements anytime before or after course publishing.
