Before you begin
- Only ZIP file format is supported for uploads
- Maximum file size: 100 MB (total)
- Ensure each document clearly matches either the file or folder name conventions used in PlumHR
Step 1. Upload the ZIP file
- Go to
Settings
>Import
- Click on Import Document
- Drag and drop or click Upload to add your
.zip
file - Once uploaded, the file name will display below the upload box
- Click Next
Step 2. Select the mapping method
- In the Uploading Folder dropdown, select the folder to which the documents will be linked
- Under Mapping Documents, choose:
- File Name or Folder Name as your reference type
- Contains or Exact Match as the match logic
- Email ID or Employee ID as the identifier type
- Click Next
Step 3. Review import and fix errors
- If the system identifies errors (e.g. unmatched records), they’ll be displayed in a list
- Use the Skip checkbox to exclude individual rows from the import
- To download the error report, click the provided link above the error table
- Once ready, click Submit to finalise the import

1. What types of files are supported for import?
Only.zip
files are accepted. All documents within should be properly formatted and named to match either employee ID or email.2 . What happens if a user doesn't match during import?
The unmatched entry will be flagged. You can choose to skip it or correct the mapping method before submitting.3. Can I import more than 100 MB of data?
No, 100 MB is the maximum limit per upload. For larger batches, split them into multiple zip files and upload them separately.
