Before you begin

  • You must have admin access to the Plumm HR platform.
  • Ensure you have the necessary payroll data ready for import.
  • The Excel template must be edited as specified before submission.

Step 1: Access the Import Feature

  1. Navigate to the Admin Settings section of Plumm HR.
  2. Under the settings menu, go to the "Import" section.
  3. Click on the three dots next to “Import Staff.”
  4. Select the "Import" option.

Step 2: Download the Template

  1. Once in the import section, click on the "Import Payroll" option.
  2. Click "Next" to proceed.
  3. Download the provided Excel template.

Step 3: Edit the Template

  1. Open the downloaded Excel file.
  2. Update the following fields with the relevant payroll information:
    • Work Email
    • Tax Code
    • Method
    • Employee Statement
    • National Insurance Number
    • Previous Employer Income Tax Paid
    • Previous Employer Gross Income
    • Is P45 available
    • National Insurance Category
    • Opted Out of Pension
    • Student Loan
    • Student Loan Start Date
    • Student Loan End Date
    • Post Graduation Loan
    • Post Graduation Loan Start Date
    • Post Graduation Loan End Date
    • Employee Is or Was Director
    • Directorship Start Date
    • Directorship End Date

Step 4: Validate the Data

  1. After editing the template, click "Next" to validate the data.
  2. Review any validation messages and correct any issues in the Excel file.

Step 5: Submit the Import

  1. Once the data is validated, navigate back to the import tab.
  2. Click on the "Submit" button to complete the import of payroll data.

1. Can I import multiple payroll entries at once?

Yes, the import feature supports bulk payroll data entry via the template.

2 . What happens if I upload incorrect data?

The platform will validate the data before submission and flag any errors. Correct the flagged issues and re-upload the file.


 

3.Can I edit payroll data after submission?

You may need to contact your HR team or admin to modify payroll data after it has been imported.
 

 

4. Where can I find the import template?

The import payroll template is available in the import section under Admin Settings.
 

 

5.Is there a limit to the number of employees I can import at once?
