Before you begin

  • Team Task Permissions: Managers must have Team Task permissions to access and manage tasks on the Team Task page.
  • Indirect Reportees Permission: Managers need specific permissions to view indirect reportees' tasks. If this permission is granted, they will be able to view and manage tasks for both direct and indirect reportees.

Step 1: Viewing Tasks for Direct and Indirect Reportees (With Permissions)

  1. With Permission to View Indirect Reportees:
    • If the manager has the appropriate permissions to view indirect reportees, they will be able to see tasks for both direct and indirect reportees on the Team Task page.
    • This gives managers a full view of all tasks assigned to users in their reporting hierarchy, including those who report indirectly to them.
  2. Viewing Tasks:
    • Both direct and indirect reportees’ tasks will be displayed under their names, including tasks with various statuses such as Overdue, Incomplete, and Completed.
  3. Task Management:
    • The manager can perform actions on tasks (view, edit, mark complete) for both direct and indirect reportees if they have the necessary permissions.

Step 2: Viewing Only Direct Reportees' Tasks (Without Permissions)

  1. Without Permission to View Indirect Reportees:
    • If the manager does not have permission to view indirect reportees' tasks, they will only see tasks for their direct reportees on the Team Task page.
    • Indirect reportees’ tasks will not be visible, even if they are part of the manager’s reporting hierarchy.
  2. Access to Direct Reportees' Tasks:
    • The manager will still be able to view and manage tasks for all direct reportees within their team, with all tasks categorized by their current status.

Step 3: Visibility of Tasks for Active and Registered Users

  1. Active Users:
    • Only tasks for active users will be visible. If a user is inactive or has left the platform, their tasks will not appear on the Team Task page.
  2. Registered Users:
    • The Team Task page will only display tasks for registered users. Unregistered users’ tasks will not be visible to any manager.
