Publish a Drafted Custom Course
Summary
You can publish a custom course from draft mode either directly from the course list or inside the course editor. Once published, all assigned users will receive an email notification and the course becomes available in their Course Library.

Before you begin
You must have Manage Course permission to publish a course. Ensure all content (modules, quizzes, videos, acknowledgements) is complete before publishing.
Step 1. Publish from the draft list
- Go to Manage Courses
- Select the Draft tab from the left sidebar
- Find the course you want to publish
- Click the three-dot menu (⋮) on the course card
- Select Publish
Step 2. Publish from inside the course editor
- Click on the course title to open the course editor
- Review or update the course content
- Make any necessary changes and click Save
- Once ready, click the Publish button at the top-right corner
Once published:
- Assigned learners will receive an email notification
- The course will appear under Published
- Learners can begin the course immediately

1. Can I make changes to the course before publishing?
Yes. You can edit the content inside the course editor and click Save to update it.2. Do learners get notified automatically?
3. Can I publish an incomplete course?
You can, but it’s recommended to ensure all content and acknowledgements are finalised before publishing.
4. Where can I track learner progress after publishing?
Go to Reports > Team Progress to monitor completion, quiz scores, and sign-offs.
5. What happens to learners already assigned while course was in draft?
They will be notified once the course is published and it will become visible in their Course Library.
