Before you begin

You must have the necessary permissions to move candidates through stages in the recruitment pipeline.
The candidate must be in any stage except the "Hired" stage to be moved to the "On Hold" stage.


Step 1. Put Candidate On Hold using the Action Button

  1. In the recruitment pipeline, find the candidate you want to move to "On Hold."
  2. Click the three-dot menu next to the candidate’s name.
  3. Select Hold Candidate from the dropdown list.
  4. A dialog will appear asking you to add a reason and any comments.
  5. On the Next page, choose whether you want to send an email notification to the candidate.
  6. Select the timing for the email (immediately, or scheduled for later hours).
  7. Click Generate to draft the email.
  8. Click Save to finalize the process. The candidate will be moved to the "On Hold" stage, and the email (if selected) will be sent or scheduled.

Step 3. Moving Candidate Back from "On Hold"

  1. In the recruitment pipeline, locate the candidate in the "On Hold" stage.
  2. Drag and drop the candidate card back to any other stage, such as "Interview" or "Offers."
  3. Alternatively, you can use the action button (three-dot menu) to select Move to Stage and choose the desired stage.
  4. The candidate will be moved back to the selected stage, and the "On Hold" status will be removed.
