 Admins can submit leave requests on behalf of any user from the Team Time Off page. This feature allows flexible leave management and approval processes, with the ability to submit leave for any employee regardless of reporting hierarchy.

Before you begin

  • You must be logged in with admin permissions to submit leave on behalf of any user.
  • Ensure that the user you are submitting leave for is eligible for leave and has an active account.

Step 1. Navigate to the "Submit on Behalf" Section

  1. Log in to your Plumm account.
  2. Go to the "Team Time Off" page.
  3. Click on the "Submit on Behalf" button to open the side panel for submitting leave requests.

Step 2. Submit a Leave Request

  1. Policy: Select the appropriate leave policy from the dropdown list.
  2. On Behalf Of: Choose the user for whom the leave request is being made.
  3. Reason: Select the reason for the leave from the predefined list (e.g., Vacation, Sick Leave).
  4. From Date & To Date: Enter the start and end dates for the leave period.
  5. Description: Optionally, add any relevant description for the leave request.
  6. Supporting Document: Upload any necessary files or documents to support the leave request.
  7. Approve This Request:
    • A toggle button will appear for auto-approval.
    • If ON, the leave request will be auto-approved at the time of submission.
    • If OFF, the leave request will follow the standard approval workflow and will require approval from the relevant authority.

Important Note:

  • Admin users have the ability to submit leave on behalf of any user, regardless of their reporting hierarchy (direct or indirect).
  • Managers can only submit leave on behalf of their direct and indirect reportees.

If the toggle is left OFF, the leave request will be submitted but will require the standard approval process.

5.Is it mandatory to upload a supporting document?

Uploading a supporting document is only required if the leave policy or organization’s guidelines mandate it for specific types of leave (e.g., medical leave).
