View and Manage Your Time Off from the Dashboard

Summary

The My Time Off widget lets users quickly view their remaining leave balance, apply for new leave, and track the status of up to three recent time-off requests. Users can also cancel pending leave directly from the widget.

Before you begin

You must be an active user with access to the Time Off module. Your available balance is based on the leave policies assigned by your organisation.

Step 1. View your leave balance

  1. On your User Dashboard, locate the My Time Off widget
  2. The widget shows:
    • The number of leave days used
    • Your total available balance
  3. This view helps you quickly assess how many days you have left

Step 2. Apply for new leave

  1. Click the Apply New Leave button below the widget
  2. Fill out the leave request form with:
    • Leave type (e.g. Vacation, Sick Leave)
    • Start and end dates
    • Full day or half-day options
    • Optional note or attachment
  3. Click Submit Request to send it for approval

Step 3. Track and manage your leave requests

  1. Below the leave balance, you’ll see up to three recent leave requests
  2. Each request shows its current status:
    • Pending
    • Approved
    • Declined
  3. Click the three-dot action menu (⋯) next to a pending request
  4. Choose Cancel Request if you no longer need the time off
    • Only pending requests can be cancelled from the dashboard

1. Where can I see my current leave balance?

Your remaining leave (in days) is shown in the My Time Off widget on your dashboard.


2 . How do I apply for leave?

Click Apply New Leave and complete the request form. Once submitted, it will go to your manager for approval.


 

3. Can I cancel a submitted request?

Yes. Pending requests can be cancelled directly from the widget using the action menu (⋯).


4. Why don’t I see all of my leave requests?

The widget displays the three most recent requests. For older requests, go to the full My Time Off page under the Time module.


5. Will my balance update automatically?

Yes. Your leave balance updates in real time as requests are approved or cancelled, according to your company’s policy.


6. Can I edit a submitted request?

No. You must cancel the pending request and submit a new one with the updated details.
