Before you begin
- You must have admin access to the Rota section to view shifts.
- Ensure that the shift title is available for viewing.
Step 1.View shift details (General tab)
- Navigate to Admin > Rota and ensure the Shift tab is selected.
- Click on the three dots (ellipsis) next to the shift you want to view.
- From the dropdown menu, select View.
- The View Shift window will open in the General tab with the following fields:
- Title: The name of the shift (e.g., "Policy 1").
- Description: The description of the shift (e.g., "Description").
- Shift Colour: The assigned color for the shift.
- Working Schedule: The type of working schedule (e.g., Onboard Meeting).
- Daily Working Hours: The hours assigned for each day of the week (e.g., 8 hours Monday to Friday).
Step 2. View shift settings (Settings tab)
- In the View Shift window, click on the Settings tab to view the following shift settings:
- An employee is allowed to raise shift request for: The number of days an employee is allowed to raise a shift request for (e.g., 1 day in a week).
- An employee is allowed to raise shift request: The number of times an employee is allowed to raise a shift request in a month (e.g., 1 time in a month).
- Employee can raise past-dated shift request, but not beyond: The duration limit for past-dated shift requests (e.g., 1 month(s)).
- Restrict past-dated shift request to: Set the restriction for how far back an employee can request shifts (e.g., calendar days back).
- Restrict employees from raising shift requests on: Choose which days employees are restricted from raising shift requests (e.g., Holidays & Weekly Offs).
- Applying for shift request requires: The notice period required for applying for shift requests (e.g., 3 calendar days prior notice, containing at least 2 working days).
- Requires approval: If checked, shift requests require approval before being processed.
Step 3. Reviewing changes
Once you have reviewed the shift details and settings, you can exit the View Shift window.

1. What happens if I click "View" on a shift?
Clicking View will show the details of the shift, including the general information and shift settings. It allows you to check the shift data without making any changes.
2.Can I edit the shift after viewing it?
To edit a shift, click the three dots (ellipsis) next to the shift and select Edit.
3.What information is included in the "General" tab?
The General tab includes the Title, Description, Shift Colour, Working Schedule, and Daily Working Hours for each day of the week.
4. What settings are displayed in the "Settings" tab?
