Before you begin
- You must have manager or admin access to the Department Goals section.
- Ensure that the department and team members are set up in PlummHR.
- Goals should be assigned to relevant teams or employees to be tracked properly.
Step 1: Accessing Department Goals
- Navigate to Goals > Department Goals from your dashboard.
- Click the + Add Goal button at the top right of the page.
- You will be redirected to the Add Department Goal form.
Step 2: Adding a New Department Goal
- Fill in the following details for the new goal:
- Goal Title: A descriptive title for the goal.
- Description (optional): Provide a brief explanation or context for the goal.
- Use the text editor to format the description if needed also we click on generate to generate description using AI generator.
Step 3: Setting Schedule and Ownership
- Go to the Schedule section of the form:
- From Date and To Date: Select the start and end dates for the goal.
- Choose the Goal Type: Department Goal.
- Assign the Owner: Select the manager or department head responsible for the goal.
- Assign the goal to team members or teams under Assigned To.
Step 4: Adding Objectives for the Goal
- Go to the Objectives tab to define measurable objectives for the goal.
- Click + New Objective to add individual objectives.
- You can choose to:
- Generate with AI: Plumm suggests objectives based on the goal description.
- Draft Your Own: Manually add specific objectives.
- Once objectives are added, click Save to complete the goal setup also you can edit or delete objectives.

The goal will still be created, but progress tracking will be less precise since objectives define measurable milestones.
