Approve or Decline Team Overtime Requests
Summary
Managers can review, approve, or decline overtime requests submitted by their team directly in the Team Attendance → Overtime Request section. This ensures timely action and clear communication between managers and employees.

Before you begin
- You must have an active Plumm account with Super Admin, Admin, Manager and Custom Role permissions to access Team Attendance.
- Only users with approval rights can take action on team overtime requests.
- Approved or declined requests cannot be reversed.
Step 1. View overtime requests
- Click on the 9-dot menu at the top-left corner of your dashboard.
- Select Attendance from the menu.
- Under the Attendance section, click on Team Attendance.
- Select the Overtime Request tab.
- Use the Search bar to find requests by keywords, dates, or names.
- Use Filter by Reportee to narrow down requests to specific team members. (Note: The “Filter by Reportee” dropdown is shown only based on permissions.)
- Review the columns: Requested By, Overtime Date, Total Overtime, Notes, Request Date, and Status.
- Status badges include Pending (yellow), Approved (green), and Cancelled (red).
- Click the 3 dot menu for available actions on each request.
Step 2. Approve an overtime request
- From the request list, click the 3 dots menu and choose Approve.
- A confirmation pop-up will appear: "Are you sure you want to approve this? This action cannot be undone."
- Click Yes to confirm or No to cancel.
Step 3. Decline an overtime request
- From the request list, click the 3 dots menu and choose Decline.
- In the Decline Request pop-up, enter the Reason for declining.
- Click Submit to finalise the decline, or Cancel to keep the request pending.
Step 4. Review the activity log
- From the request list, click the 3 dots menu and select Activity Log.
- The Overtime Activity Log will display the requester’s name, submission date/time, overtime hours, notes, and current status.
- Scroll to view all messages exchanged about the request.
- From the log’s 3 dots menu, you can Edit or Delete the comment.

1. Who can approve or decline overtime requests?
Only managers or HR personnel with the necessary permissions.
2 . Can I reverse an approved overtime request?
No. Once approved or declined, the decision is final.
3. Will the employee be notified after my decision?
Yes. Employees receive notifications in Plumm and/or by email when a request is approved or declined.
4. Can I approve multiple requests at once?
No. Each request must be reviewed and approved/declined individually.
