Before you begin

  • You must have administrative access to the Audit section to view permission-related audit logs.
  • The Permissions tab will show changes made to user permissions, including any modifications to permission settings for various features in the platform.

Step 1.View permissions audit logs

  1. Navigate to Admin > Audit.
  2. Select the Permissions tab to view the permissions audit logs.
  3. In the Audit section, you will see the following columns:
    • Date of Change: The timestamp when the change occurred.
    • Changed By: The user who made the change.
    • Category: The category of the permission change (e.g., View Leave Calendar, My Rota).
    • Operation: The action taken (e.g., Modified).
    • Field Name: The specific permission field that was changed.
    • Old Value: The value before the change (e.g., Unchecked).
    • New Value: The value after the change (e.g., Checked).
  4. You can filter the data to display only the most recent 1, 2, or 3 months using the time filter in the top-right corner.
  5. To download the permissions audit logs, click the download icon in the upper-right section of the screen.

1.What does the "Modified" operation mean?

The Modified operation indicates that the permission settings for a particular field were changed (e.g., a user’s access to a feature was enabled or disabled).
 

2 .What does "Unchecked" and "Checked" mean in the Old and New Value columns?

  • Unchecked means that a permission was previously disabled.
  • Checked means that a permission was enabled or granted.

3.Can I filter the data for more than the last three months?

Currently, the filter only allows you to view data for the last 1, 2, or 3 months.
 

 

4.How do I download the audit logs?

Click on the download icon in the upper-right section of the screen to download the permissions audit logs.

5.Can I see the details of all permission changes?

Yes, the audit log captures all permission-related changes, including the modification of individual user access to various features.
