Cancel or resend an offer

Summary
Plumm Hire allows you to cancel a sent offer or resend an offer from the Offers stage in the pipeline. Cancel an offer by providing a reason, or reopen the offer flow to send the offer again.

Before you begin

To cancel or resend an offer, you need:

  • Hire included in your organisation’s contract.
  • Cancel Offer permission to cancel an offer.
  • Resend Offer permission to resend an offer.
  • Access to the job pipeline, such as View All Jobs permission.

Important note:

  • Open Hire from the 9-dot menu. The control label is Apps.

Cancelling an offer

Cancel a sent offer:

  • Log in to Plumm.
  • Open the 9-dot menu. The control label is Apps.
  • Under PRODUCT SUITE, select Hire.
  • Select Jobs.
  • Open the required job.
  • Go to Pipeline.
  • Open the Offers candidate card menu.
  • Select Cancel Offer.

The confirmation modal shows:

  • Heading:
    • Cancel Offer Of {first name} {last name} ?
  • Message:
    • Are you sure you want to cancel the candidate offer?

Complete cancellation:

  • Enter Reason for cancellation.
  • Select Confirm.
  • Select Cancel to close the modal.

Validation:

  • Reason for cancellation is required.
  • Empty value shows:
    • Required Field

After confirmation:

  • The confirmation message shows:
    • Candidate offer rejected successfully.
  • The candidate status is stored as:
    • CANCELLED_OFFER

Email details:

  • If the contract is live, the candidate email subject is:
    • Cancellation Notification of Offer for the {job title} Position
  • The requester email subject is:
    • Offer Cancellation Confirmation for {first name}

Resending an offer

Resend an offer:

  • Open the Offers candidate card menu.
  • Select Resend Offer.

The offer flow opens with:

  • Heading:
    • Resend Offer

Complete the offer steps:

  • Review the offer details.
  • Send the offer.

After sending:

  • The confirmation message shows:
    • Offer sent successfully.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • Does cancelling an offer reject the candidate?
    No. Cancel Offer changes the offer status to CANCELLED_OFFER. It is different from the Reject Candidate action, which moves the candidate to the Rejected stage.
  • Can I cancel an offer without sending an email?
    The cancel action sends WithEmail as true. A separate no-email flow exists for rejecting candidates. Confirm the availability of a no-email option for cancelling offers in the live product.
