Before you begin

Before cancelling a therapy appointment, ensure that:
  • You are logged in to your Plumm account
  • You have an upcoming therapy session scheduled
  • The session start time is more than 24 hours away
Important: Therapy sessions cannot be cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled start time.

Step 1. Navigate to Therapy sessions

  1. Log in to your Plumm account.
  2. Click on the 9-dot menu at the top-left corner of your dashboard and select Wellbeing.
  3. From the left-side menu, click on the Therapy tab.
  4. The Therapist Upcoming Sessions section will appear, displaying all your scheduled therapy sessions along with your remaining session count.


Step 2. Open appointment actions

  1. In the Upcoming Sessions list, locate the therapy appointment you want to cancel.
  2. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the session.
  3. A list of available actions will appear:
    • Join Session
    • Reschedule
    • Cancel

Step 3. Cancel a therapy appointment

  1. Click Cancel from the action menu.
  2. A confirmation dialog will appear with the message:
  3. “Are you sure you want to cancel this? This action cannot be undone.”

 

Step 4. Confirm cancellation

  1. Choose one of the following options:
    • Yes – Confirms and cancels the therapy session
    • No, I Want To Reschedule – Cancels the action and redirects you to reschedule instead
  2. Once confirmed, the cancellation will be processed immediately.


What happens after cancellation

  • A success message will appear stating “Session cancelled.”
  • You will see two options:
    • OK, Thanks – Closes the confirmation message
    • Book Again – Allows you to book a new therapy session
  • The cancelled session will be removed from your Upcoming Sessions list.
  • Both you and the therapist will receive an email of cancel appointment details.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Can I cancel a therapy appointment at any time?

No. Therapy appointments cannot be cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled start time.


2. What happens if I click “No, I Want To Reschedule”?

You will be redirected to reschedule the appointment instead of cancelling it. The original session will remain active until rescheduled.


3. Will my therapy session credit be refunded after cancellation?

This depends on your organisation’s wellbeing policy. If applicable, cancelled sessions may return the credit for future booking.



4. Can I book a new therapy session after cancelling?

Yes. Click Book Again after cancellation to schedule a new therapy appointment.
 

 

5. How do I know the session has been cancelled successfully?

You will see an on-screen confirmation message, and the session will no longer appear under Upcoming Sessions.
