Clock In/Out Using Kiosk PIN

Employees can easily clock in or clock out using a 4-digit PIN through Plumm’s Kiosk. Admins can manage PIN settings, comment requirements, and task assignments directly from the Attendance settings.

Before you begin
- Role required: Any employee with an assigned kiosk and a 4-digit PIN
- Admin settings must be enabled:
- Allow users to clock in/out using PIN
- (Optional) Allow project/task selection
- (Optional) Require comment at clock in/out
Admins can manage these settings from:
Admin > Attendance > Manage
Step 1. Access the kiosk
- Click the 9-dot menu on the top-left of your dashboard
- Select Attendance
- Go to Kiosks
- Click the Team Clock In tab
- Super admins and admins will see all available kiosks
- Regular users will only see kiosks assigned to them
Step 2. Enter your 4-digit PIN
- Click on the appropriate kiosk
- Enter your 4-digit passcode using the on-screen keypad
- Click to proceed
Step 3. Clock in or out
If clocking in:
- Select your Project from the dropdown (if enabled)
- Select a Task (if enabled)
- Add a comment (mandatory if required by admin)
- Click Clock In
If clocking out:
- Enter your 4-digit PIN again
- You’ll receive a confirmation message showing the clock-out time
- A green check confirms your clock in
- A blue check confirms your clock out
Step 4. Track daily attendance
- Click the clock icon on the kiosk page to view Clocked In Today
- Use the search bar to look up your name
- View your in/out log and status (Clocked In / Clocked Out / Missing)
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1.How do I reset or change my 4-digit PIN?
Go to the Profile, and select Manage PIN.
You’ll see your current PIN and can set a new one by entering and confirming a 4-digit code, then clicking Reset PIN.
2 .What if I forget my PIN?
You can view your current PIN or reset it yourself via the Manage PIN option in the kiosk screen. No admin assistance is required.
3.Is it mandatory to select a project or task when clocking in?
Only if the admin has enabled the “Allow to add project and task” setting under Attendance Settings.
4 .Are comments required when clocking in or out?
Comments are only required if the setting “Comment is mandatory” is enabled under Web Clock In in Attendance Settings.
5 .Can I use any kiosk?
No. You can only see and access kiosks you've been assigned to by your admin.
6 .Will the system show missed clock-outs or late entries?
Yes. Missed swipes will be flagged in the clocked-in list if the admin has enabled “Display missing swipes”.
7. Can admins clock in using PINs too?
Yes, as long as they are assigned to a kiosk and have a 4-digit PIN set.
