Before you begin
- Plumm Account: Ensure you have a registered Plumm account to access the coaching booking system.
- Available Session Balance: Upon logging in, you will see your session balance (e.g., Unlimited sessions until a specific date).
- Internet Connection: Since sessions are virtual, make sure your internet connection is stable to ensure a smooth video call during your coaching sessions.
Step 1: Navigating the Coaching Section
Once logged in, follow these steps to access the Coaching Section:
- Access the Coaching Page:
- Log in to your Plumm account.
- Click on the 9-dot menu at the top-left corner of your dashboard and select Wellbeing.
- Click on the Coaching tab from the left-side menu.
- The "Book Individual Coaching" section will appear, displaying your session balance, my activity, my coach, upcoming sessions, and completed sessions.
- My Activity:
- This section shows the overall progress and engagement of the user. Here, you can see what percentage of coaching sessions and therapy sessions the user has booked. It gives a clear summary of how actively the user is using the platform.
- My Coach:
- This section displays the details of the coach. It shows the coach’s name along with their information, so the user can easily understand who they are connected with and view their background.
- Upcoming Sessions:
- Initially, this section will be empty.
- Once a session is booked, the details will show up here, including coach name and scheduled date and time.
- Completed Sessions:
- This section will also remain empty until you attend a session. Once completed, the session details will appear here.
Step 2: Choosing the Coaching Area
When you start the booking process, first click the Book Coaching button. After that, you will see a list of different coaching categories. These categories are designed to help you identify the type of support you need. You can browse through all available options and select the coaching area that best matches your concerns.
- Mind: Anxiety, Chronic stress and more.
- Financial Wellbeing: Financial Stress and Anxiety, Budgeting and Financial Planning, and more.
- Relationship: Anger Management, Cheating, and more.
- Work: Burnout, Business Issues, and more.
- Body: Body Image Issues, Nutrition, and more.
- Personal Growth: Being More Productive, Communication Skills, and more.
Action: Click on the coaching area you want to focus on with your coach.
Step 3: Answering Follow-up Questions
After selecting the coaching area, users are prompted to answer additional questions to personalise their experience:
- Which issue would you like to address today?
- Examples of issues include:
- Depression/Mood-related issues
- Chronic illness (e.g., diabetes, heart disease)
- Anxiety (e.g., panic attacks)
- Trauma/PTSD
- Sleep-related issues
- Anger management
- Other
- Examples of issues include:
- Do you have a gender preference for your coach?
- Choose Male, Female, or No preference.
- Do you have a language preference for your coach?
- Choose from available languages such as English, Spanish, French, and more.
Note: The category you select determines which set of questions will appear next. These questions are designed to understand your specific needs so the system can match you with the most suitable therapist. I have added some important example questions above that help in finding the right therapist
Step 4: Coach Selection Process
Once you've completed the questionnaire, Emma AI (the system’s AI engine) uses your answers to suggest the most suitable coach for your needs. The recommendation is based on:
- Coach expertise in the area you've selected.
- Gender and language preferences provided by you.
Once a coach is recommended, you will see their profile with the following details:
- Coach’s name and title (e.g., Dr. Jessica Wane, Clinical Psychologist).
- Experience and languages spoken.
- Bio with details about their approach to coaching.
Step 5: Booking the Session
After reviewing your recommended coach's profile, proceed with selecting your session details:
- Choose Session Time:
- You will be presented with available time slots for your coach.
- Select a preferred date and time for your session. You can view the available dates in a calendar view.
- Session Duration:
- Typically, sessions are 60 minutes long, but this can vary based on your coach's availability.
- Confirm Session:
- Once you’ve chosen your time and session duration, you will see a summary of your booking, including the coach's name, date, and time.
- Click "Book Now" to confirm your session.
Step 6: Session Confirmation
After confirming your session, you will receive the following confirmation details:
- Booking Summary:
- You’ll be shown a summary page with:
- Coach’s name
- Date and time of the session
- Session duration (e.g., 60 minutes)
- You will also see a confirmation message that your session has been booked.

- Click the "Change Coach" button located in the Coaching Page.
- You will be guided through the same process as the original coach selection, where you can choose a new coach, answer the follow-up questions, and book a new session.
