Company Money Loan

 Summary

The Loan page is the Company Money drill-down for a loan benefit. Use it to assign a borrowed amount and instalments to people at the payroll location, update pending instalments and the pending amount, delete an assignment, export the list, and review the Activity Log.

Before you begin

You must have an active Payroll add-on to access and use Payroll features.

You need Company Money access and View Company Benefit to open the Benefits tab.

The following Payroll permissions apply on the Loan page:

  • View User Benefit — allows you to view an assignment when Status is not Not Included.
  • Add User Benefit — allows you to add a loan when Status is Not Included.
  • Edit/Update User Benefit — allows you to update a loan when Status is not Not Included.
  • Delete User Benefit — allows you to delete a loan when Status is not Not Included.
  • Loans Activity Logs — allows you to open Action → Activity Log.

Create the loan scheme first under Admin → Benefits.

People must already appear on the Loan list before you can assign a loan to them.

The page heading uses the benefit name.


Opening Loan

  1. Log in to Plumm.
  2. Open the 9-dot menu.
  3. Under Money, select Company Money.
  4. Select an Active location.
  5. Select the Benefits tab.
  6. Select a Loan card.

Read the list

Use Search to find a person. The placeholder is Search.

Header filters are available.

If there are no records, Plumm shows Nothing to show here yet.

Available page sizes are:

  • 10
  • 50
  • 100
  • 200
  • 500

The list contains the following information.

Name

Shows the person’s name and profile image.

Borrowed

Shows the amount borrowed.

Number of Installments

Shows the total number of instalments.

Number of Pending Installments

Shows how many instalments remain.

Status

A person can have one of the following statuses:

  • Not Included — shown with a yellow tag. The person does not have a loan assignment. Use Add if you have Add User Benefit permission.
  • Member — shown with a green tag. The person has a loan assignment. Depending on your permissions, you can View, Update, or Delete the assignment.

Adding a loan

On a person with Status Not Included, open the three-dot menu and select Add.

The sidebar heading is the benefit name. The footer button is Add.

Pending Amount is not shown when you add a person.

Employee

Read-only. This shows the person you selected.

Effective Date

Required.

Use the date picker to select the effective date. The format is dd/mm/yy.

If left empty, Plumm shows Required field.

Borrowed

Required. Enter the amount borrowed.

Validation messages include:

  • Required field — when the amount is empty.
  • Borrowed amount cannot be zero — when the amount is 0.

Number of Installments

Required. Enter the number of instalments.

Validation messages include:

  • Required field — when the value is empty.
  • Number of installments cannot be zero — when the value is 0 and Pending Amount is not 0.
  • Number of installments cannot be negative — when a negative value is entered.

Select Add.

On success, Plumm shows Added successfully!

The person’s Status changes to Member.

Error messages can include:

  • Invalid input data. Please check your entries.
  • Error in dates, please refresh and try again.
  • Something went wrong, please try again.

Viewing an assignment

On a Member row, open the three-dot menu and select View.

The sidebar shows:

  • Employee
  • Effective date
  • Type — always Loan
  • Borrowed
  • Installments
  • Created by
  • Last updated by

If a value is empty, Plumm shows ---.


Updating an assignment

On a Member row, open the three-dot menu and select Update.

The footer button is Update.

Effective Date

Disabled and cannot be changed.

Borrowed

Disabled and cannot be changed.

Number of Installments

You can change the number of instalments.

The same validation used when adding a loan applies. In addition, if Pending Amount is 0 but Number of Installments is not 0, Plumm shows Number of installments must be zero.

Pending Amount

Shown only when updating an assignment.

A negative value shows Pending amount cannot be negative.

If Pending Amount is 0, Number of Installments must also be 0.

Select Update.

On success, Plumm shows Updated successfully!


Deleting an assignment

On a Member row, open the three-dot menu and select Delete.

The modal heading is Delete transaction from this benefits.

Plumm shows:

Are you sure you want to delete this transaction? Please note that this action cannot be undone.

Select Cancel to leave without deleting, or Confirm to continue.

On success, Plumm shows Deleted successfully.

The deletion cannot be undone from the confirmation modal.


Opening Activity Log

You need Loans Activity Logs permission.

Select Action, then Activity Log.

The modal heading is Activity Log.

Entries are grouped by date. Each entry shows a time and description.

If there are no entries, Plumm shows Nothing to show here yet.

Select Cancel to close the Activity Log.


Exporting

Use the grid export control to download the Loan list.

The downloaded file is:

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • Who can add a loan?
    Users with Add User Benefit permission can add a loan, but only when the person’s Status is Not Included.
  • Can I change Borrowed or Effective Date after adding a loan?
    No. Both fields are disabled when you update an existing loan. You can change Number of Installments and Pending Amount.
  • What if Pending Amount is zero?
    Number of Installments must also be 0. Otherwise, Plumm shows Number of installments must be zero.
  • Where do I create the loan scheme?
    Create the scheme under Admin → Benefits. The Company Money Loan page is used to assign people and loan amounts.
