Before you begin
You must be a Plumm system administrator to set up this integration.
Please contact your IT team to obtain the following AD connection details:
- Host name
- Port number (LDAP)
- Bind username and password
- Base DN and User RDN
- SSL certificate (if required)
Step 1. Open Microsoft Active Directory integration settings
- Go to Company Apps from your Plumm dashboard
- Select the Store tab
- Click on Microsoft Active Directory under Productivity
- Click the Update button on the top right
Step 2. Gather required details
You’ll need the following:
- Host Name – Server address of your Active Directory
- Port Number – Common LDAP ports (e.g. 389 or 636 for SSL)
- Bind Username – Account used to authenticate with AD
- Bind Password – Password for the bind user
- Base DN – Base Distinguished Name used for user directory searches
- SSL Certificate & Password – Only if SSL connection is required
- User Name RDN – Relative Distinguished Name for user identification
- First Time Password – Default password for new users synced via AD
Step 3. Enter integration information
- Fill in each field in the Microsoft AD integration form
- Select or add your Domain under the Domains section
- Click Add Domain if you’re managing multiple directories
Step 4. Save and activate the connection
- Once all fields are completed, click Save
- Plumm will confirm the integration is active
- You’ll see a Connected status on the integration tile
