Before you begin
To use this integration, make sure the following conditions are met:
- You must be a Plumm administrator with permission to manage integrations
- You must have admin access to your organisation’s Microsoft Entra account
- Ensure user Email IDs in Plumm match the structure expected in Microsoft Entra
- Microsoft Entra must allow API based provisioning from external platforms
Step 1. Connect Microsoft Entra ID to Plumm
- Go to Tech > Company App > Store in the Plumm platform
- Select Microsoft Entra ID from the list of available integrations
- Click Connect
- Sign in with your Microsoft Entra admin credentials
- Grant the necessary permissions to allow Plumm to provision users and manage access
- Once connected, the integration will become active, and user data will begin syncing from Plumm to Entra ID
Step 2. Manage users in Plumm
- Create, update, or deactivate users directly within Plumm via the People or Profile section:
- Add new employees during onboarding
- Update user details such as name, role, or location
- Deactivate users as part of offboarding or access changes
- Plumm will automatically sync these changes to Microsoft Entra, using the user's Email ID as the matching identifier.
- The user’s status and details in Microsoft Entra will reflect their current setup in Plumm:
- New users will be provisioned in Microsoft Entra
- Profile updates (e.g. role or email) will be reflected in Microsoft Entra
- Deactivated users will be suspended in Microsoft Entra
- Synchronisation happens in real time, keeping Microsoft Entra aligned with the authoritative data in Plumm.
- All provisioning actions are secure and logged, supporting audit trails and IT compliance requirements.
