Create a Review

Summary

 Create structured performance reviews in Plumm by setting up review details, choosing participants, selecting review types, and configuring settings. You can then build the review form, enable scoring, schedule the review, and send out invitations.

Before you begin

You must have access to the Performance > Reviews section. Only the following roles can create reviews:
  • HR Admins
  • Managers (with review creation permissions)

Step 1. Set up review details, participants, and type

    1. Go to Admin > Reviews
    2. Click Add Review
    3. Enter the review title
    4. Add a description (written manually or generated using AI)
    5. Under Reviewees, choose individuals or use filters for groups, conditions, or full company-wide reviews
    6. (For peer reviews only) Select reviewers from the dropdown list
    7. Choose a Review Type:
      • Self-review – Individual reviews themselves
      • Peer review – Colleagues review each other
      • Top-down review – Managers review direct reports
      • Bottom-up review – Employees review their managers
    8. Configure the review settings:
      • Anonymous responses – Turn ON to hide reviewer identities
      • Share feedback with reviewee – Turn ON to make feedback visible to the reviewee
      • Cross-department review – Enable for peer reviews across departments
      • Link tasks and goals – Attach relevant work items (visible only to managers)

    Step 2. Build or generate the review form

    1. Go to the Form section
    2. Choose one of the following methods:
      • Use AI – Auto-generate questions based on the title
      • Create manually – Add multiple-choice, free-text, or scale questions
    3. Use available tools to:
      • Add and reorder sections
      • Copy content between sections
      • Preview the form before publishing

    Step 3.  Set scoring (optional)

    1. Toggle ON Scoring if needed
    2. Select which scale questions will be scored
    3. Assign weights to sections
    4. Choose whether to share the overall score with the reviewee


    Step 4. Schedule the review

    1. Select a scheduling method:
      • By date – Set review start and end dates and add optional reminders
      • By event – Trigger reviews based on events like work anniversaries or probation end

    Step 5. Schedule the review

    1. Click next to Send Invitations
    2. Plumm will email reviewers with a customised request to begin their feedback

    Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

    1. Can I save a review as draft?

     Yes. Your progress will be saved automatically as you go.

    2. Can reviewees see all feedback?

     Only if “Share feedback with reviewee” is turned ON.


    3. What happens if anonymous responses are enabled?

     The reviewee will not see who gave the feedback.

    4. Can I reuse the same review form again?

     Yes. You can duplicate an existing review or saved form.


     

    5. Will reviewers get reminders?

     Yes. You can configure reminders during the scheduling step.
