Deactivate or reactivate a job

Summary
Plumm Hire allows you to deactivate an Active job and reactivate it later when required. Deactivated jobs restrict some pipeline actions, while reactivated jobs return to the Active status.

Before you begin

To deactivate or reactivate a job, you need:

  • Hire included in your organisation’s contract.
  • View All Jobs permission.
  • Deactivate Job permission to deactivate a job.
  • Reactivate Job permission to reactivate a job.

Important note:

  • Open Hire from the 9-dot menu. The control label is Apps.

Deactivating a job

Deactivate an Active job:

  • Log in to Plumm.
  • Open the 9-dot menu. The control label is Apps.
  • Under PRODUCT SUITE, select Hire.
  • Select Jobs.
  • Open the job card menu.
  • Select Deactivate.

The confirmation modal shows:

  • Heading:
    • Deactivate Position?
  • Message:
    • Are you sure you want to deactivate this position?

Confirm the action:

  • Select Confirm.

After deactivation:

  • The confirmation message shows:
    • Position deactivated successfully.
  • The job status changes to:
    • Deactivated
  • Stored value:
    • DEACTIVATED

Important notes:

  • Bulk actions are hidden while the job is Deactivated.
  • Dragging candidates to most pipeline columns is blocked.

Reactivating a job

Reactivate a Deactivated job:

  • Set the Status filter to Deactivated.
  • Open the job card menu.
  • Select Reactivate.

The confirmation modal shows:

  • Heading:
    • Reactivate Position?
  • Message:
    • Are you sure you want to reactivate this position?

Confirm the action:

  • Select Confirm.

After reactivation:

  • The confirmation message shows:
    • Position reactivated successfully.
  • The job returns to:
    • Active

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • Can I move candidates on a Deactivated job?
    No. Dragging candidates to most pipeline columns is blocked, and bulk actions are hidden while the job is Deactivated.
  • Is Deactivate the same as Archive?
    No. Deactivated jobs can be reactivated. Archived jobs are stored as DELETED and show the Archived status.
