This guide explains how to edit an existing shift in Plumm. Administrators can modify the shift title, description, working schedule, shift type, and shift timings directly from the Attendance module.

Before you begin

  • You must have administrative access to the Attendance section to edit shifts.
  •   Ensure that the shift you wish to edit has been previously created.

Step 1.Edit a shift

  1. Navigate to Admin > Attendance.
  2. Ensure the Shift tab is selected (this is the default view when entering the Attendance section).
  3. Locate the shift you want to edit. Click on the three dots (ellipsis) next to the shift.
  4. From the dropdown menu, select Edit.
  5. In the Edit Shift popup, you can modify:
    • Title
    • Description
    • Working Schedule
    • Shift Type
    • Fixed: The shift times remain consistent every day of the week.
    • Flexible: The shift times can vary each day (e.g., different start/end times for different days).
    • Set Shift timings and Break duration for each day of the week (only available when flexible schedule is selected).
    • Shift Timings (start and end times).
  6. After making your changes, click Save to update the shift.

1. Can I change the working schedule or shift timings after the shift is saved?

Yes, you can edit the working schedule and shift timings at any time by following the steps in this guide.
 

2.What happens after I click Save?

Once you click Save, your changes will be applied, and the shift will be updated for all employees assigned to it.

3.Can I undo a change once I save the shift?

Currently, there is no undo function. You will need to manually edit the shift again if any corrections are required.
 

 

4. Can I edit the shift type after saving it?

Yes, the shift type can be edited, including switching between fixed and flexible types.
