Editing Section in the Custom Field
Summary
Plumm allows you to edit custom fields in the Personal, Work, and Money tabs of the Custom Field section in the Settings. You can edit sections, modify fields, and publish them to reflect the changes on user profiles.
Before you begin
To edit a section in the Custom Field settings, you must first log in with a valid Plumm account. You should also have the appropriate permissions to access the Settings tab and the Custom Field section.
Steps to Edit a Section in Custom Field:
- Login:
- Ensure you are logged into your Plumm account.
- Navigate to Settings:
- From your dashboard, go to the Settings tab.
- Open General Settings:
- Click on the General Settings tab.
- Select Custom Field:
- In the General Settings, click on Custom Field.
Custom Field Section:
In the Custom Field section, you will find three tabs:
- Personal
- Work
- Money
You can select any of these tabs to edit the section, and the changes will be reflected on the Profile page after publishing.
Edit a Section:
- Click on the three dots next to the section name in the Personal tab (or any other tab you choose).
- Select the Edit option.
- A side panel will appear with three fields:
- Name (mandatory)
- Description
- Locations
- Update the necessary fields and click Save.
- The section will then appear under the Personal tab with Draft status.
Editing Fields in the Section:
- To publish the section, you need to add or edit fields.
- Click on the section name.
- Click on the Add Field button (or edit an existing field).
- A side popup will appear asking for:
- Field Name
- Field Type (e.g., Text, Date, Number, List, etc.)
- Description
- Checkbox for Mandatory Field
- Field Type Options:
- By default, the field type is selected as Text.
- You can change it depending on the field name. For example, if the field name is Birth Date, you can select Date. This will display a date picker on the Profile page.
- Available field types include:
- Text
- Text Area
- Date
- Number
- List
- Multi-select List
- After editing the necessary fields, click Save.
Publishing the Section:
- After editing the fields, the Publish option becomes active.
- Click the Publish button to make the section visible on the Profile page.
