Generate a job description with AI

Summary
Plumm Hire allows you to generate a job description using AI while creating or editing a job. Select Generate on the Job Description step, review the AI-generated draft, make changes if required, and continue with the job setup.

Before you begin

To generate a job description, you need:

  • Hire included in your organisation’s contract.
  • Add a Job permission for a new job.
  • Edit Jobs permission for an existing job.

Important notes:

  • Complete Job Details before generating a description.
  • AI uses the following job details to create the draft:
    • Job Title
    • Experience (In years)
    • Skills
    • Work Location
    • Country
    • Employment Type
    • Workplace Type
    • Salary From
    • Salary To
    • Currency

Open Hire from the 9-dot menu. The control label is Apps.

Opening Job Description

Open the Job Description section:

  • Log in to Plumm.
  • Open the 9-dot menu. The control label is Apps.
  • Under PRODUCT SUITE, select Hire.
  • Select Jobs.
  • Select Add Job or Edit on an existing job.

Complete:

  • Details

Then open:

  • Job Description

The field label shows:

  • Description

Generating a job description

Create an AI-generated description:

  • Select Generate.

During generation:

  • The loader heading shows:
    • Generating with AI
  • A progress bar displays:
    • 0% completed
    • Until the draft is generated.

After generation:

  • The generated text is added to the Description field.
  • The button label changes to:
    • Regenerate

You can:

  • Review the generated content.
  • Edit the description before continuing.

Description rules:

  • Description must not exceed 10,000 characters.
  • If Description is empty:
    • Required field validation applies.

Continue the job setup:

  • Select Next to continue the wizard.
  • Or select Save As Draft.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • Does Generate publish the job automatically?
    No. Generate only fills the Description field. You still need to complete Pipeline, Screening (if enabled), Application, Auto-Reject, and Post Job steps.
  • Can I write the job description manually?
    Yes. You can skip Generate and enter your own content directly in the Description field.
