Send Password Email to a User

Before you begin

You need the required permission to send a registration email.

You need:

  • Send Create Password Email permission.

Additional details:

  • The Action option is available when the profile status is not Terminated.
  • Action is shown for admins and some people you manage.

The page details are:

  • Page title: Profile
  • Action item: Send Create Password Email
  • Panel heading: Send Registration Email

What Send Create Password Email is for

Use Send Create Password Email to send a registration email that allows a person to access Plumm.

Important notes:

  • If the person is already registered, no email is sent.
  • If the person needs to reset their password, they should use forgot password on the login page.

Opening Send Create Password Email

  1. Log in to Plumm.
  2. Open the 9-dot menu. The control label is Apps.
  3. Under PRODUCT SUITE, select Core.
  4. In the sidebar, under People, select My People.
  5. Open the person’s profile.
  6. Open Action.
  7. Select Send Create Password Email.

Sending the email

To send the registration email:

  1. Open Send Create Password Email.
  2. Review the information shown.
  3. Select the confirmation checkbox.
  4. Select Send.

The panel heading is:

  • Send Registration Email

The message includes:

  • By clicking "Send", an email will be sent to the user prompting them to register to access the Plumm platform.
  • If the user is already registered, no email will be sent.
  • If the user needs to reset their password, the “forgot password” function on the login page should be used.

The confirmation checkbox is:

  • I’m sure I want to send this email to the user.

If the checkbox is not selected, Plumm shows:

  • Please check this box if you want to proceed.
