Summary

Use the Global Search bar in Plumm to quickly find people, features, courses, meditations, and soundscapes. Search results are based on your role and permissions, and selecting a result takes you directly to the relevant page.

Before you begin

What you can search depends on your user role and assigned permissions:

  • Super Admin: Can search all features, all people, courses, meditations, and soundscapes
  • Admin: Can search features and people based on permissions, plus courses, meditations, and soundscapes (if enabled)
  • Manager: Can search direct reports, accessible features, and wellbeing content (if permitted)
  • User: Can search features and wellbeing content (courses, meditations, soundscapes) only if permission is granted; cannot search people
Note: Access to courses, meditations, and soundscapes depends on your company’s wellbeing settings and assigned permissions.

Step 1. Use Global Search

  1. Go to the Dashboard
  2. Click the Search bar at the top of the page
  3. Type the name of:
    • A person (if permitted)
    • A feature (e.g. “Time Off”, “Performance Review”)
    • A course
    • A meditation
    • A soundscape
  4. (Optional) Select a filter:
    1. All
    2. Courses
    3. Meditations
  5. Select the correct result from the dropdown list
  6. Click the name to go directly to the feature, content, or profile page

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Can I search for a feature I don’t have permission for?

No. You will only see features that you have access to based on your role and permissions.
 

2 . Why can’t I search for people?

Only Super Admins, Admins, and Managers (with direct reports) can search for people. Regular users cannot search employee profiles.
 
 

3. Why can’t I see certain courses, meditations, or soundscapes?

Wellbeing content is permission-based. If you do not see specific items, they may not be enabled for your organisation or assigned to your role.
 
 

4. What happens after I click a search result?

You will be redirected to the selected feature page, content page (course, meditation, or soundscape), or the person’s profile (if permitted).
 
 

5. Is Global Search the same for everyone?

No. It dynamically adjusts based on your role, permissions, and enabled platform features.
