Custom Field
Summary
Custom Fields in General Settings lets you create and manage additional profile sections for Personal, Work, and Money.
Add sections, fields, or tables, then publish the section to make it visible on the Profile page. You can also search for existing sections by name.

Before you begin
You need a valid Plumm account.
You also need the required permissions to access Settings and Custom Field.
A section must contain at least one field before it can be published.
What Custom Fields is for
Use Custom Fields to add profile information that meets your organisation’s needs.
Custom sections can be created for:
- Personal
- Work
- Money
Once a section is published, it appears on the relevant area of the Profile page.
Opening Custom Fields
- Log in to Plumm.
- Open Admin.
- Select Settings.
- Open General Settings.
- Select Custom Field.
Custom Field tabs
The Custom Field page includes three tabs:
- Personal
- Work
- Money
Select the tab where you want to create and manage your custom section.
Published sections are reflected in the corresponding area of the Profile page.
Adding a section
- Open Personal, Work, or Money.
- Select Add Section.
- Enter the required information in the side panel:
- Name – mandatory
- Description
- Locations
- Select Save.
The new section appears under the selected tab with a Draft status.
Adding a field
- Select the section name.
- Select Add Field.
- Complete the available information:
- Field Name
- Type
- Description
- Mandatory field checkbox
- Select Save.
The field is added to the section.
Adding a table
- Open the section where you want to add the table.
- Select Add Table.
- Complete the available information:
- Field Name
- Type
- Description
- Mandatory field checkbox
- Select Save.
The table is added to the selected section.
Editing, publishing, or deleting a section
Open the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the section name.
The available options are:
- Edit – update the section.
- Publish – publish the section to the Profile page.
- Delete – delete the section.
Publish is disabled until at least one field has been added.
When Publish is unavailable, hovering over it shows No sections can be published without adding at least one field.
Once a field has been added, open the three-dot menu (⋮) and select Publish to make the section available on the Profile page.
Searching for a section
Use the Search Bar on the Custom Field page to find a section by name.
Enter the section name, and matching results are displayed on the same page.

- What is a Custom Field?
Custom fields let you add specific information sections to profiles, including personal, work, or financial information. - Can I add custom fields to Personal, Work, and Money?
Yes. Custom sections can be added to Personal, Work, or Money. - How do I add a section?
Open the required tab and select Add Section. Enter the Name, Description, and Locations, then select Save. - Do I need to publish a section for it to appear on the Profile page?
Yes. The section must be published before it appears on the Profile page. - Why is Publish disabled?
Publish remains disabled until at least one field has been added to the section. - Can I search for a specific section?
Yes. Use the Search Bar on the Custom Field page and enter the section name. - Can I delete a section after creating it?
Yes. Open the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the section and select Delete. - Why can I not see Custom Field?
You may not have the required permissions to access Settings or Custom Field. Contact your system administrator or HR team if you need access.
