Hire a candidate
Summary
Plumm Hire allows you to confirm when a candidate has been hired using the Hire Candidate action. Confirming this action creates the employee profile, adds the person to the employee user list, and transfers documents to the employee folder.

Before you begin
To use Hire Candidate, you need:
- Hire included in your organisation’s contract.
Important notes:
- No dedicated Hire Candidate permission was found alongside Onboard Candidate.
- Dragging a candidate card to Hired opens Onboard, not Hire Candidate.
- Hire Candidate is a separate action from Onboard.
- Open Hire from the 9-dot menu. The control label is Apps.
Opening Hire Candidate
Open the Hire Candidate confirmation:
- Select Hire Candidate from the available action.
The confirmation modal shows:
Heading:
- Hire Candidate?
Confirmation message:
- Have you decided to hire {name}?
The next message explains:
- This will create their employee profile, add them to the employee user list, and transfer documents to their employee folder.
Important note:
- Once confirmed, this action cannot be undone.
Confirm
Complete the hiring action:
- Select Hire.
- Select Cancel to close the modal.
After confirmation:
- The confirmation message shows:
- Congratulations, {name} hired successfully.
- The candidate status is stored as:
- HIRED
- The audit text shows:
- Candidate {name} hired by {your name}.

- Is Hire the same as Onboard?
No. Onboard uses Onboard Candidate permission and starts the onboarding process. Dragging a candidate to Hired opens Onboard. Hire Candidate is a separate confirmation action. - Who can open Hire Candidate?
No dedicated Hire Candidate permission was found. Confirm the exact access flow in the live product.
