How to Update a Candidate’s Email ID

 If you have the necessary permissions to access a job and the Hire Pipeline, as well as the permission to edit candidates, you can update a candidate's email ID. Once the email ID is updated, all future communication will be sent to the new email address. However, please note that past emails will not be updated, and any previous communication sent to the old email ID will remain unchanged.

Before you begin

  • You must have the necessary permissions to access the Hire Pipeline and the relevant job.
  • Ensure you have the edit candidate permission. If you do not have these permissions, please contact your system administrator.

Step 1. Access the Candidate Profile

  1. Log in to your system.
  2. Navigate to the Hire Pipeline for the relevant job.
  3. Locate the candidate whose email ID you would like to update.
  4. Click on the candidate card to open their profile.

Step 2. Edit the Candidate’s Profile

  1. On the candidate’s profile, click on the action button (usually represented by three dots or an options menu).
  2. From the dropdown menu, click on "Edit Candidate".
  3. This will open the Edit Candidate pop-up window.

Step 3.Update the Candidate’s Email ID

  1. In the Edit Candidate pop-up, you will see a field for the candidate’s email ID.
  2. To update the email address, simply enter the new email address in the relevant field.

Step 4. Save the Changes

  1. Once you’ve updated the email address, click Save to apply the changes.
  2. The new email address will now be used for all future communication with the candidate.

Important Note:

  • All future communication will be sent to the updated email address.
  • However, no updates will be made to past emails sent to the old email address. All prior communications will remain associated with the original email address.
