The "Import Manager Details" feature enables admins to update manager information for users in bulk. You can import details for up to 1000 users at once, with each user assigned only one manager. The imported data will replace the existing manager details, and no history will be saved. All fields are optional during the import process, giving you flexibility in what to update.

Before you begin

  • You must have admin permissions to access the Admin tab and settings.
  • You must have access to the import section within the platform.
  • Only one manager detail update is allowed per user.
  • The process allows for importing up to 1,000 manager details in one batch.

Step 1. Accessing the Import Section

  1. Go to the Admin tab.
  2. Click Settings to access the settings options.
  3. In the Import section, select Import Staff.
  4. Choose Manager Detail from the dropdown menu.

Step 2. Downloading the Template

  1. In the Manager Detail section, click Download Template.
  2. The template will be downloaded to your system.

Step 3. Adding Relevant Data in the Template

  1. Open the downloaded template in Excel.
  2. Fill in the data as per the requirements in the template.
  3. All fields are optional, so you can import one field or all fields.
  4. Ensure that the data is correctly filled before moving to the next step.

Step 4. Uploading and Validating the Data

  1. Once the template is completed, return to the Import section in the Admin tab.
  2. Upload the completed Excel file where you downloaded the template.
  3. Click Validate to check the data for errors.
  4. If the data passes validation, you will proceed to the next step.

Step 5. Handling Errors

  1. If an error occurs (e.g., incorrect date format), an error message will be shown.
  2. Open the Excel file, correct the errors (e.g., fix the date format), and save the file.
  3. Re-upload the corrected file and click Validate again.

Step 6. Importing the Data

  1. Once all errors are resolved and validation is successful, click Import to upload the manager details.
  2. The data will be updated in the current active user profiles, not as history.

Step 7. Updating the Organisational Chart

  1. Once the manager details are successfully imported, the company’s organisational chart will be automatically updated based on the imported manager information. The updated org chart will then be displayed on the Org Chart page.
