Before you begin

  • My People permissions determine which users a manager can view in the Leavers section.
  • If the manager has permission to view indirect reportees, they will be able to see both direct and indirect reportees in the Leavers section.
  • If the manager does not have permission to view indirect reportees, they will only see direct reportees who have left the organization.

Step 1: Viewing Indirect Reportees in Leavers (With Permissions)

  1. With Permission to View Indirect Reportees:
    • If the manager has permission to view indirect reportees, they will be able to see both direct and indirect reportees in the Leavers section.
    • Indirect Reportees: These are employees who reported to someone else but were under the manager’s extended reporting hierarchy (i.e., they reported indirectly to the manager).
  2. Leavers Section View:
    • In the Leavers section, managers will see a complete list of users who have left the organization, including those who were their indirect reportees.
    • These users will be listed with their departure details, such as the reason for leaving and the offboarding date.

Step 2: What Happens Without Permissions for Indirect Reportees

  1. Without Permission to View Indirect Reportees:
    • If the manager does not have permission to view indirect reportees, they will only see direct reportees who have left the organization in the Leavers section.
    • Indirect Reportees will not be visible, and the manager will only have access to those who reported directly to them.
  2. Leavers Section Limitations:
    • Without this permission, the Leavers tab will only show direct reportees who are marked as having left the organization.
