Job statuses in Hire

Summary
Plumm Hire jobs can have different statuses that control availability, visibility, and available actions. The status filter on Jobs defaults to Active, and actions available on each job depend on the status and user permissions.

Before you begin

To view job statuses, you need:

  • Hire included in your organisation’s contract.
  • View All Jobs permission.

Important notes:

  • You can only view jobs where:
    • You are included in Job Visibility.
    • You are the Position Owner.
    • You are an Admin or SuperAdmin.
  • Open Jobs from the Hire sidebar.
  • The page title is Jobs.

Opening Jobs

Open the Jobs section:

  • Log in to Plumm.
  • Open the 9-dot menu. The control label is Apps.
  • Under PRODUCT SUITE, select Hire.
  • Select Jobs.

The Status filter appears on the right.

Default filter:

  • Active

Available status filters:

  • All
  • Active
  • Archived
  • Deactivated
  • Drafts
  • Paused

Job cards display:

  • Job name.
  • Status.
  • Applicants.

Important notes:

  • Draft jobs show:
    • Applicants: N/A

If there are no jobs:

  • Plumm shows:
    • Nothing to show here yet.

Understanding each status

Active

  • Stored value:
    • OPEN

Active jobs are live and available for hiring activities.

Available actions can include:

  • Pause
  • Deactivate
  • Archive
  • Duplicate Job
  • Edit
  • Job Page
  • Job Description
  • Activity

Actions depend on permissions.

Drafts

  • Stored value:
    • DRAFT

Draft jobs:

  • Are not published.
  • Show the Drafted tag.
  • Display Applicants as N/A.

To publish:

  • Complete the Add New Positions steps.
  • Select Save from Post Job.

Confirmation message:

  • Position saved successfully.

Paused

  • Stored value:
    • PAUSED

Pause a job:

  • Confirmation heading:
    • Pause Position?
  • Confirmation message:
    • Are you sure you want to pause this position?
  • Select Confirm.

After pausing:

  • Confirmation message shows:
    • Position paused successfully.

Resume a job:

  • Requires Pause Job permission.
  • Confirmation heading:
    • Resume Position?

After resuming:

  • Confirmation message shows:
    • Position resume successfully.

Deactivated

  • Stored value:
    • DEACTIVATED

Deactivate a job:

  • Confirmation heading:
    • Deactivate Position?

After deactivation:

  • Confirmation message shows:
    • Position deactivated successfully.

Important notes:

  • Pipeline bulk actions are hidden.
  • Dragging candidates to most columns is blocked.

Reactivate a job:

  • Requires Reactivate Job permission.
  • Confirmation heading:
    • Reactivate Position?

After reactivation:

  • Confirmation message shows:
    • Position reactivated successfully.

Archived

  • Stored value:
    • DELETED

Archived jobs:

  • Show the Archived tag.
  • Are no longer active.

Archive a job:

  • Requires Archive Job permission.
  • Confirmation heading:
    • Archive Position?
  • Confirmation message:
    • Are you sure you want to archive this position?

After archiving:

  • Confirmation message shows:
    • Position archived successfully.

Important notes:

  • Bulk actions are hidden for Archived jobs in the pipeline.

Understanding actions that change the status

Save As Draft

  • Sets the job status to Draft.
  • Confirmation message:
    • Position saved successfully.

Save on Post Job

  • Sets the job status to Active.
  • Stored value:
    • OPEN
  • Confirmation message:
    • Position saved successfully.

Pause

  • Requires Pause Job permission.
  • Sets the status to Paused.

Resume

  • Requires Pause Job permission.
  • Sets the status to Active.

Deactivate

  • Requires Deactivate Job permission.
  • Sets the status to Deactivated.

Reactivate

  • Requires Reactivate Job permission.
  • Sets the status to Active.

Archive

  • Requires Archive Job permission.
  • Sets the status to Archived.

Duplicate Job

  • Available on Active job cards.
  • Confirmation heading:
    • Duplicate Job?
  • Confirmation message:
    • Are you sure you want to duplicate this job?

After duplication:

  • Confirmation message shows:
    • Position duplicated successfully.

Important note:

  • Duplicating a job does not archive the original job.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • What is the difference between Paused, Deactivated, and Archived?
    Paused jobs can be resumed. Deactivated jobs can be reactivated, but most pipeline moves are blocked while Deactivated. Archived jobs are stored as DELETED and show the Archived tag.
  • Can I open a Draft job in the pipeline?
    No. Draft jobs are not Active. Complete the job setup and save from Post Job to publish it.
  • Why does Applicants show N/A?
    Draft jobs display N/A for Applicants.
  • Does Overview count only Active jobs?
    Yes. Total Active Jobs counts active jobs only. The tooltip shows: Total number of active jobs.
