Edit Personal Summary in a User's Profile

Summary

 Non-manager users can only add their own Personal Summary if their role has permission to do so. Otherwise, they can only view the information.

Before you begin

Ensure you have the required permissions to edit a user’s Personal Summary.
  • Only Managers with the correct permission can edit the Personal Summary; otherwise, the information will be in View mode.
  • The Personal Summary section may include information such as:
    • LinkedIn
    • Hobbies and Talents
    • Special Needs
    • Other relevant details

Step 1. Log in and navigate to User's Profile

  1. Log in to Plumm using a valid Manager account or a user account with permission to manage profiles.
  2. Click on the 9-dot menu at the top left corner of the dashboard.
  3. Select Core from the menu.
  4. Under the People section, click on My People.
  5. Click on the user’s name to open their profile, which will take you to the Team/People Profile section.
In the Personal Summary section, click on the three dots on the right-hand side.

Step 2. Edit Personal Summary

Managers with the correct permissions can edit a Personal Summary.
  • If you have permission, the option Edit Personal Summary will be visible.
  • If not, the section will be View mode only.
Click Edit Personal Summary to update the details:
  • LinkedIn
  • Hobbies and Talents
  • Special Needs
  • Other relevant details
Note: There are no mandatory fields in the Personal Summary section. You can save without entering any details if desired.
Once you’ve made the necessary changes, click Save.

1. Who can edit the Personal Summary in Plumm?

 If a Manager has permission, only in this case they can edit the Personal Summary. Otherwise, they can only view the information.
 

2. What if I can't see the option to edit the Personal Summary?

 If you don’t have Manager permissions, you will only see the information in View mode. You will need to contact a Manager for permission to edit the Personal Summary.


3. What information is required when editing the Personal Summary?

 There are no mandatory fields in the Personal Summary section. You can add or edit information such as LinkedIn, Hobbies, Talents, Special Needs, etc.
 

 

4. Can non-manager users edit their own Personal Summary?

Non-manager users can edit their own Personal Summary if they have permission to do so in their respective role. If they do not have the required permission, they can only view the information.
