Before you begin
- Ensure you have the necessary permissions to edit tax information for users.
- Have the updated tax details ready, such as the new tax code, National Insurance number, and any loan information.
Step 1. Access the user profile
- Navigate to the "My People" page from your main dashboard.
- Locate the user whose tax information you wish to edit.
- Click on the 3 dots (options menu) next to the user’s name.
- Select "Edit" to open the user profile.
Step 2. Edit tax information
- In the user profile, click on the "Money" tab.
- Click on "Tax Information" to view the current tax details.
- Click on the 3 dots (options menu) next to the tax information you want to edit.
- Select "Edit" to modify the existing tax details.
- Update the following information as needed:
- Tax Code
- Calculation Method (e.g., cumulative, week 1/month 1)
- Financial Year (select the appropriate year)
- Employment Statement (e.g., employed, self-employed)
- National Insurance Number
- National Insurance Category (e.g., category A, B)
- Student Loan (select if applicable)
- Post-Graduation Loan (select if applicable)
Step 3. Save the changes
- After editing the tax information, click "Save" to apply the changes.
- The updated tax information will now be saved and reflected in the user’s profile.
