My Time Off On Dashboard

Summary

My Time Off on the Dashboard is a widget that shows your leave balance and recent requests for one selected leave policy.
Use it for a quick view of your leave status. For full request details and all balances, use My Time Off.

Before you begin

You need:

  • View My Time off permission to see the widget.
  • SuperAdmin users can also see the widget.

Additional requirements:

  • The widget must be added to your Dashboard.
  • If the widget is not available, ask a user with Customise Dashboard permission to add it.

Widget details:

  • Widget heading: My Time Off
  • Catalogue name in Customise: Time Off
  • Description:This widget displays the number of taken, pending, and requested leaves for logged-in users.

What the widget is for

The My Time Off widget provides a quick view of your leave information.

The heading information icon shows:

View your applied leaves across policies

The balance shown:

  • Applies only to the leave policy selected by the administrator.
  • Does not combine balances from all assigned policies.

The widget displays:

  • Circular leave balance
  • Latest requests
  • Cancel option
  • Apply New Leave option

The request list shows your latest three requests for the selected policy.


Opening the widget

  1. Log in to Plumm.
  2. Open the 9-dot menu. The control label is Apps.
  3. Under PRODUCT SUITE, select Core.
  4. Open Dashboard.
  5. Find My Time Off.

If more than one allowed policy is assigned to you:

  • A policy list appears.
  • You can switch between policies.

If only one policy is available:

  • The policy name appears below the heading in brackets.

Leave balance

The large circular number shows the leave taken for the selected policy.

For limited policies:

  • The label shows:OUT OF
  • It is followed by the accrued total for that selected policy.

The information icon shows:

This count shows the total accrued leaves for the specific policy selected by the admin. It does not include leaves from other policies.

For unlimited policies:

  • The label shows:OUT OF UNLIMITED

Recent requests

The widget displays your latest requests for the selected policy.

Each request row can show:

  • Request date or date range
  • Morning or Afternoon duration in brackets when applicable
  • Policy name in brackets
  • Status

Available statuses:

  • Pending
  • Approved
  • Rejected
  • Cancelled

If there are no recent requests:

  • The list remains empty.
  • No empty-state message is displayed.

Cancel a request

To cancel a request:

  1. Open the three-dot menu () on a request.
  2. Select Cancel when available.

If cancellation is not allowed:

  • The Cancel option remains visible.
  • The option is disabled.

Are you sure you want to cancel this? This action cannot be undone.

Buttons:

  • Cancel
  • Confirm

Depending on the policy:

  • Cancellation may be submitted for approval.
  • The request may be cancelled immediately.

Apply New Leave

To submit a new leave request:

  1. Select Apply New Leave.

Plumm opens My Time Off with the request form ready.

Customise Time Off

You need either:

  • SuperAdmin
  • Customise Dashboard

permission to change the policies available in the widget.

To customise:

  1. Open Customise on the Dashboard.
  2. Find Time Off.
  3. Open the three-dot menu ().
  4. Select Customise.

The heading is:

The field label is:

Select the leave policy whose balance will be shown on users dashboards for easy tracking.

The picker details:

  • Placeholder: Select
  • Multiple policies can be selected.
  • Only active day-based policies are listed.

If no policy is selected:

Please select at least one policy.

After saving:

Leave balance widget saved

If the list cannot load:

Unable to load data

If saving fails:

Error saving leave balance widget

Additional information:

  • Users only see policies that are both selected in Customise and assigned to them.
  • If multiple matching policies are available, users see a policy list.
  • If several policies are configured, Customise can show:(Multiple)

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • Why is My Time Off missing from Dashboard?
    You need View My Time off permission, and the Time Off widget must be added to your Dashboard.
  • Does OUT OF include every policy?
    No. It shows the accrued total only for the policy selected for the widget.
  • What does OUT OF UNLIMITED mean?
    The selected policy has unlimited leave.
  • Can I apply for leave from the widget?
    Yes. Select Apply New Leave to open My Time Off with the request form.
  • Why can I not change the policy?
    The policy selector appears only when more than one allowed policy is assigned to you. An administrator controls available policies through Customise Time Off.
  • Which policies can an administrator select?
    Only active policies that use days are available. Hour-based policies are not listed.
