Pause or resume a job
Summary
Plumm Hire allows you to pause an Active job and resume a Paused job from the Jobs card menu. Confirm the action to update the job status and continue managing the position when needed.

Before you begin
To pause or resume a job, you need:
- Hire included in your organisation’s contract.
- View All Jobs permission.
- Pause Job permission.
Important note:
- Open Hire from the 9-dot menu. The control label is Apps.
Opening Jobs
Open the Jobs section:
- Log in to Plumm.
- Open the 9-dot menu. The control label is Apps.
- Under PRODUCT SUITE, select Hire.
- Select Jobs.
Pausing a job
Pause an Active job:
- Open the Active job card menu.
- Select Pause.
The confirmation modal shows:
- Heading:
- Pause Position?
- Message:
- Are you sure you want to pause this position?
Confirm the action:
- Select Confirm.
After pausing:
- The confirmation message shows:
- Position paused successfully.
- The job status changes to:
- Paused
- Stored value:
- PAUSED
Resuming a job
Resume a Paused job:
- Set the Status filter to Paused.
- Open the job card menu.
- Select Resume.
The confirmation modal shows:
- Heading:
- Resume Position?
- Message:
- Are you sure you want to resume this position?
Confirm the action:
- Select Confirm.
After resuming:
- The confirmation message shows:
- Position resume successfully.
- The job status changes to:
- Active
- Stored value:
- OPEN

- Is Resume a separate permission?
No. Both Pause and Resume require Pause Job permission. - What is the difference between Pause and Deactivate?
Paused jobs can be resumed using Pause Job permission. Deactivated jobs require Deactivate Job and Reactivate Job permissions to manage their status.
