Publishing Section in the Custom Field

Summary

Plumm allows you to publish sections in the Personal, Work, and Money tabs under the Custom Field section in the Settings. After publishing, the section and its fields will be visible on the Profile page. To publish a section, at least one field must be added to it.

Before you begin

To publish a section in the Custom Field settings, you must first log in with a valid Plumm account. Ensure you have the necessary permissions to access the Settings tab and the Custom Field section.


Steps to Publish a Section:

  1. Login:
    • Ensure you are logged into your Plumm account.
  2. Navigate to Settings:
    • From your dashboard, go to the Settings tab.
  3. Open General Settings:
    • Click on the General Settings tab.
  4. Select Custom Field:
    • In the General Settings, click on Custom Field.

 

Custom Field Section:

In the Custom Field section, you will find three tabs:
  • Personal
  • Work
  • Money
You can select any of these tabs to publish a section, and it will be reflected on the Profile page after publishing.



Publish a Section:

  1. Click on the three dots next to the section name in the desired tab.
  2. Ensure that at least one field is added to the section. The Publish button is only active if a field exists; otherwise, it remains inactive.
  3. Click the Publish button once it is active.
  4. A confirmation message will appear: "Are you sure you want to publish this section?"
    • Click Confirm to publish the section.
    • Click Cancel to keep it in Draft status.


After Publishing:

  • The section will now appear on the Profile page along with the added field(s).
  • The section status will change from Draft to Published.
  • The section will only be visible on the Profile page for the user whose location matches the location specified when adding the section with the added fields.

1. What is a Custom Field Section?

A section in the Custom Field allows you to group specific profile fields in Personal, Work, or Money tabs.


2 . Do I need fields added before publishing a section?

Yes, the Publish button only becomes active if at least one field is added to the section.

No, you need to publish sections individually by clicking the three dots and confirming the publish action for each section.
 

 

4. What happens if I cancel the publish confirmation?

The section will remain in Draft status and will not appear on the Profile page.


 

5. Can I edit a section after it has been published?

Yes, you can edit the section even after publishing. Any updates will require you to save and republish to reflect the changes on the Profile page.
 


6. What if I don’t see the Custom Field section?

If you cannot access the Custom Field section, contact your system administrator or HR team. You may not have the necessary permissions.
