Set job visibility

Summary
Plumm Hire allows you to control who can view a job in the Jobs section using Job Visibility. Select the users who should access the job, then continue saving the job setup.

Before you begin

To set Job Visibility, you need:

  • Hire included in your organisation’s contract.
  • Add a Job permission to set visibility for a new job.
  • Edit Jobs permission to update visibility for an existing job.

Important notes:

  • Have the required users ready before setting visibility.
  • Position Owner is a separate required field.
  • Open Hire from the 9-dot menu. The control label is Apps.

Opening Details

Open Job Visibility settings:

  • Log in to Plumm.
  • Open the 9-dot menu. The control label is Apps.
  • Under PRODUCT SUITE, select Hire.
  • Select Jobs.
  • Select Add Job or Edit on an existing job.

Stay on:

  • Details

Selecting users

Set who can view the job:

  • Find Job Visibility.
  • Select the required users.

Field details:

  • Tooltip:
    • Only selected users can view this job in the Jobs module.
  • Placeholder:
    • Select User

Validation:

  • At least one user must be selected.
  • If no users are selected:
    • Required field

Continue setup:

  • Select Next to continue.
  • Or select Save As Draft.

Important notes:

  • Admin and SuperAdmin users can still see jobs they are allowed to manage.
  • If a user cannot find a job, confirm the access rules with Job statuses in Hire.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • Is Job Visibility the same as Position Owner?
    No. Position Owner is the person responsible for the role. Job Visibility controls which users can view the job in Jobs.
  • Can I leave Job Visibility empty so everyone can see the job?
    No. Empty Job Visibility shows Required field. You must select at least one user.
