Before you begin

  • You must be logged in with the necessary permissions to submit leave on behalf of another user (typically Manager).
  • Ensure that the user you are submitting the leave for is eligible for leave and has an active account.

Step 1.Navigate to the "Submit on Behalf" Feature

  1. Log in to your Plumm account.
  2. Go to the "Time" section in your dashboard.
  3. Click on the "Team Time Off" page.
  4. Select "Submit on Behalf" to open the side panel for submitting leave requests.

Step 2.Submit the Leave Request

  1. Select the Policy: Choose the appropriate leave policy (e.g., Vacation, Sick Leave).
  2. Select the User: In the "On Behalf Of" field, select the user for whom you are submitting the leave request.
  3. Select the Reason: Choose the reason for the leave (e.g., Personal, Medical).
  4. Enter the Dates: Enter the From Date and To Date for the leave period.
  5. Add a Description: Optionally, enter any additional details or notes regarding the leave.
  6. Upload a Supporting Document: If required, upload any relevant documents (e.g., doctor's note).
  7. Toggle the "Approve this request" Button:
    • If toggled ON, the request will be automatically submitted and approved.
    • If toggled OFF, the request will be submitted for review, and approval will happen later

1.Can I submit leave for any user?

You can submit leave on behalf of users who are under your management or have the necessary permissions assigned to you.
 

2 .What happens if I toggle the "Approve this request" button ON?

If the "Approve this request" toggle is ON, the leave request will be automatically approved upon submission, and no further action will be needed.


3.Can I edit a leave request after submitting it?

Once submitted, as a manager you can make any changes or adjustments, depending on your permissions.
 

 

4.Is it mandatory to upload a supporting document?

Uploading a supporting document is only required if your organization’s leave policy mandates it for the selected leave type (e.g., medical leave).
 

 

5.What if I don’t toggle the "Approve this request" button?

If the button is left toggled OFF, the leave request will be submitted but not approved. It will remain in a Pending status, awaiting approval from the relevant manager.
 

 
This feature allows you to easily manage leave requests for employees who may be unavailable to submit their own requests, streamlining the process for everyone involved.
 
Note: A manager can only submit leave requests on behalf of their direct and indirect reportees.
