Before you begin

  • Plumm Account: Ensure you have a registered Plumm account to access the therapy booking system.
  • Available Session Balance: Upon logging in, you will see your session balance (e.g., Unlimited sessions until a specific date).
  • Internet Connection: Since sessions are virtual, make sure your internet connection is stable to ensure a smooth video call during your therapy sessions.

Step 1: Navigating the Therapy Section

Once logged in, follow these steps to access the Therapy Section:
  1. Access the Therapy Page:
    • Log in to your Plumm account.
    • Click on the 9-dot menu at the top-left corner of your dashboard and select Wellbeing.
    • Click on the Therapy tab, from the left-side menu.
    • The "Book Individual Therapy" section will appear, displaying your session balance, my activity, my therapist, upcoming sessions, and completed sessions.
  2. My Activity:
    • This section shows the overall progress and engagement of the user. Here, the user can see what percentage of therapy sessions and coaching sessions they have booked. It gives a clear summary of how actively the user is using the platform.
  3. My Therapist:
    • This section displays the details of the therapist. It shows the therapist’s name along with their information, so the user can easily understand who they are connected with and view their background.
  4. Upcoming Sessions:
    • Initially, this section will be empty.
    • Once a session is booked, the details will show up here, including therapist name and scheduled date and time.
  5. Completed Sessions:
    • This section will also remain empty until the user attends a session. Once completed, the session details will appear here.
  6. My Therapist:
    • If a therapist is booked, their profile details (like name, bio, and experience) will appear here.


Step 2: Booking a Therapy

When you start the booking process, first click the Book Therapy button. After that, you will see a list of different therapy categories. These categories are designed to help you identify the type of support you need. You can browse through all available options and select the therapy area that best matches your concerns
  1. Mind: Focus on stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues.
  2. Body: Address chronic pain, body image, and more.
  3. Relationship: Help with relationship-related issues like trust, insecurity, and more.
  4. Personal Growth: Focus on mindfulness, leadership, self-growth, and other personal development topics.
  5. Addiction: For issues related to alcohol, smoking, and addiction.
  6. Work: Address career, finances, and work-related stressors.
Action: Click on the therapy area you want to focus on with your therapist.

Step 3: Answering Follow-up Questions

After selecting the therapy area, users are prompted to answer additional questions to personalize their experience:
  1. Which issue would you like to address today?
    • Examples of issues include:
      • Depression/Mood-related issues
      • Chronic illness (e.g., diabetes, heart disease)
      • Anxiety (e.g., panic attacks)
      • Trauma/PTSD
      • Sleep-related issues
      • Anger management
      • Other
  2. Do you have a gender preference for your therapist?
    • Choose Male, Female, or No preference.
  3. Do you have a language preference for your therapist?
    • Choose from available languages such as English, Spanish, French, and more.
Note: The category you select determines which set of questions will appear next. These questions are designed to understand your specific needs so the system can match you with the most suitable therapist.
 

 

Step 4: Therapist Selection Process

Once you've completed the questionnaire, Emma AI (the system’s AI engine) uses your answers to suggest the most suitable therapist for your needs. The recommendation is based on:
  1. Therapist expertise in the area you've selected.
  2. Gender and language preferences provided by you.
Once a therapist is recommended, you will see their profile with the following details:
  • Therapist’s name and title (e.g., Dr. Jessica Wane, Clinical Psychologist).
  • Experience and languages spoken.
  • Bio with details about their approach to therapy.

Step 5: Booking the Session

After reviewing your recommended therapist's profile, proceed with selecting your session details:
  1. Choose Session Time:
    • You will be presented with available time slots for your therapist.
    • Select a preferred date and time for your session. You can view the available dates in a calendar view.
  2. Session Duration:
    • Typically, sessions are 60 minutes long, but this can vary based on your therapist's availability.
  3. Confirm Session:
    • Once you’ve chosen your time and session duration, you will see a summary of your booking, including the therapist's name, date, and time.
    • Click "Book Now" to confirm your session.

Step 6: Session Confirmation

After confirming your session, you will receive the following confirmation details:
  1. Booking Summary:
    • You’ll be shown a summary page with:
      • Therapist’s name
      • Date and time of the session
      • Session duration (e.g., 60 minutes)
    • You will also see a confirmation message that your session has been booked.
  2. Post-Booking Actions:
    • You’ll have the option to:
      • Proceed to Home: Return to the main dashboard.
      • Message your therapist: Start a chat with the therapist before your session if you have any questions.

Step 7: Changing the Therapist

If at any time you are not satisfied with your assigned therapist or wish to try someone else, you can easily change the therapist:
  1. Click the "Change Therapist" button located in the Therapy Page.
  2. You will be guided through the same process as the original therapist selection, where you can choose a new therapist, answer the follow-up questions, and book a new session.
