Track and Complete Your Tasks from the Dashboard
Summary
The My Tasks widget on the User Dashboard displays up to three of your assigned tasks. You can mark tasks as complete directly from the widget and view your full task list by clicking View All.

Before you begin
You must have access to the Tasks module in order to see and complete your assigned tasks from the dashboard.
Step 1. View assigned tasks
- On your User Dashboard, locate the My Tasks widget
- This shows up to three current tasks, each including:
- Task title and context (e.g. assigned review or deliverable)
- Status label (e.g. Overdue)
- A three-dot action menu (⋯) for each task
Step 2. Complete tasks from the dashboard
- Click the three-dot menu (⋯) next to a task
- Select Mark Complete
- A success message will appear to confirm the task is completed
- The widget will refresh with your next available tasks (if any)
Step 3. View all tasks
- Click the View All link at the bottom of the widget
- This opens the full My Tasks module
- You can view completed, overdue, or upcoming tasks in more detail and apply filters if needed
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. What does the My Tasks widget show?
It displays the top three assigned tasks from your task list, including overdue and active tasks.
2 . Can I complete tasks directly from the dashboard?
Yes. Use the three-dot menu (⋯) to mark tasks as complete. A success message will confirm the update.
3. What happens after I mark a task complete?
The task is updated in the system and removed from the widget. The next available task (if any) will take its place.
4. How can I see all of my tasks?
Click View All to open the full My Tasks page, where you can track all current and completed assignments.
5. Why do I only see three tasks?
The widget is designed to show a snapshot of your top three tasks. For the complete list, use the View All button.
6. What if I don’t see the widget?
You may not have task access. Contact your manager or system admin to confirm your permissions.
