Track and Manage Team Tasks from the Dashboard
Summary
Managers can track the status of tasks assigned to their reportees directly from the Team Dashboard. The “Team Tasks” widget includes an action menu that allows managers to mark tasks complete, view task details, review logs, or delete tasks as needed.

Before you begin
You must have Manager or Admin access and permission to view and manage your team’s tasks. The “Team Tasks” widget is only available on the Team Dashboard.
Step 1. Access the Team Tasks widget
- Go to the Team Dashboard
- Locate the Team Tasks widget—this shows a summary of tasks for each reportee
- Tasks are grouped by employee and labelled by status:
- Overdue (in red)
- Incomplete (in yellow)
- Complete (not shown here but available in filters)
Step 2. Take action on tasks
- Hover over the task entry and click the three-dot menu (⋯)
- Choose from the following actions:
- Mark Complete – Update the task status instantly
- View Description – See task details and requirements
- Activity Logs – Review task history and updates
- Delete – Remove the task permanently from the dashboard
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. Who can view and manage team tasks?
Only users with Manager or Admin roles and task permissions for their reportees will see the Team Tasks widget.
2 . Can I assign or create new tasks from here?
No. The dashboard only shows and allows actions on existing tasks. To assign new tasks, use the full task module.
3. What does “Overdue” mean?
It indicates the task’s due date has passed and it hasn’t been marked as complete.
4. Are changes here reflected in the main task system?
Yes. Any updates made from the widget (like marking complete or deleting) are instantly applied to the full Plumm system.
5. Can I see more details about a task?
Yes. Click View Description from the action menu to see the full task brief and any notes.
6. What is shown in the Activity Logs?
The logs show timestamped entries of who took action on the task and when—useful for performance tracking and audits.
