Summary
The Update Staff Details feature allows administrators to update the information for multiple users in bulk. You can update details for up to 1,000 users at once. The update process is applicable only for existing users and requires the use of their current email IDs.

Before you begin
- You must have admin permissions for the Settings and Import tabs to access the Update Staff Details feature.
- The update process only works with existing email IDs—new email IDs will trigger an error.
- All fields in the template are optional, meaning you can choose which data to update.
- The maximum number of users that can be updated in one go is 1,000.
Step 1. Access the Update Staff Details section
- Log into your Plumm admin account.
- Navigate to Settings from the main dashboard.
- Click on Import under the User Management section.
- Select Update Staff Details.
Step 2. Download and fill the template
- In the Update Staff Details section, click on Download Template.
- Open the downloaded Excel template.
- Fill in the information you want to update for each user. Only include the fields you want to update (e.g., contract type, department, phone number).
- Ensure that you are using the correct email IDs—only existing users can be updated.
- Save the filled template once all necessary updates are made.
Step 3. Upload the filled template
- Return to the Update Staff Details page in Plumm.
- Click on Upload Template.
- Select the updated Excel file from your device.
- Click Upload to begin the import process.
Step 4. Handle validation errors
- If there is an issue with the data (e.g., incorrect email ID or missing mandatory fields), the system will display a validation error.
- Review the error messages provided by the platform and correct any issues in the Excel file (e.g., ensure that all data is correctly formatted and that only existing email IDs are included).
- Re-upload the corrected file.
Step 5. Verify the updates
- Once the file has been successfully uploaded, the system will update the profiles of the users included in the file.
- You can check and verify the updated details by searching for the users in the platform and reviewing their profiles.
