Using the Feed Widget on Dashboard

Summary

The Feed widget allows users to create and engage with posts, announcements, polls, and kudos directly from the dashboard. Visibility and actions on the feed are entirely controlled by permissions set by the Super Admin.

Before you begin

  • This widget must be enabled by the Super Admin
  • Users can only post, comment, or like if they have permission
  • Feed visibility and actions are permission-based

Step 1. Access and use the Feed

  1. Go to the User Dashboard
  2. Scroll to the Feed section
  3. Click on one of the tabs:
    • Post – Create a general update
    • Announcement – Share an official message
    • Poll – Ask a question with selectable options
    • Kudos – Appreciate a colleague
  4. Enter the content and click Post to publish

Step 2. Engage with posts

  1. Scroll through existing feed updates
  2. Click the Like button to show support
  3. Click Comment to reply or share thoughts

1. Why can't I see the Feed widget?

The Feed will only appear if the Super Admin has enabled it and you have the required permission.


2 . Can I post anything on the feed?

Only if your role has been granted permission to post. Content may still be moderated depending on company settings.


 

3. Who can see my post?

Visibility depends on your organisation's feed permission settings—generally, visible to colleagues within your team or company-wide, as set by admin.


4. Can I edit or delete a post after publishing?

Editing/deleting a post depends on your permission level. Typically, you can delete your own posts if allowed.
