Admin - View Time Off Policy

Summary

View Policy allows Admin users to review an existing time-off policy without making changes.
The policy setup is displayed across the same sections used when creating a policy, but all fields are read-only.

Before you begin

You need:

  • Time off on Admin permission to access the Time Off tab in Settings.

Permission path:

Admin → Time off

The page details are:

  • Page title: Settings
  • Inner heading: Admin

Additional information:

  • View is available for both:
    • Active policies
    • Inactive policies

For inactive policies:

  • Edit is disabled.
  • Assign To is disabled.
  • Sync User is disabled.
  • Deactivate is disabled.

Navigating to View Policy

  1. Log in to Plumm.
  2. In the sidebar, open Admin.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Select the Time Off tab.
  5. Expand the Policy Type card.
  6. Open the three-dot menu () on the policy row.
  7. Select View.

The heading is:

View Policy

Plumm shows:

Loading...

while loading the saved policy settings.


What you can see

The View Policy panel displays the policy setup using the same eight sections as Add Policy:

  • Details
  • Allowance
  • Proration
  • Balance Limits
  • Probation Periods
  • Allowance Increase
  • Request
  • Notification

The left timeline shows these sections.

You can use:

  • Next
  • Back

to move between sections.

All saved values are displayed.

Policy Type

Shows the policy type name.

The field is read-only.

Assign To

Shows the saved assignment method:

  • All Employees
  • Select By Condition
  • Select By Name

Allowance Entitlement

If the allowance entitlement is set to:

Unlimited

the following sections remain hidden:

  • Proration
  • Balance Limits
  • Allowance Increase

This matches the Add Policy behaviour.

The policy row behind the panel continues to show:

  • Policy Name
  • Base Allowance (Annual)
  • Accrual Frequency
  • Users
  • Status

Status values are:

  • Active
  • Inactive

What you cannot do

View Policy is read-only.

You cannot:

  • Edit fields.
  • Change selections.
  • Add rows.
  • Use input controls.
  • Save changes.

The Save button is hidden.

To update a policy:

  1. Close View Policy.
  2. Select Edit.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • Who can view a time-off policy?
    You need Time off on Admin permission.
  • Where can I find View Policy?
    Go to Admin → Settings → Time Off tab → Expand Policy Type → Three-dot menu (⋮) on the policy row → View.
  • Can I save changes from View Policy?
    No. Save is hidden because View Policy is read-only. Use Edit to update and save changes.
  • Can I view an inactive policy?
    Yes. View remains available when the policy status is Inactive.
  • Is this the same as Policy Balance?
    No. View Policy shows the policy configuration in Admin Settings. Policy Balance on Team Time Off shows employee balances and adjustments.
